Guest guest
I just did a quick search on Travelocity and there is a Fairfield Inn in Laurel for $79 a night and that includes Continental Breakfast. If you have AAA, the rate is $75 a night. There were also some cheaper options in College Park or Silver Spring.....those were a Quality Inn and Suites (College Park) and a Ramada in Silver Spring and they were between $62 and $65 a night. Either of those are probably about 20 minutes or so from the WMTC I think. Areas that you could look would be Laurel (of course..LOL), College Park, Greenbelt, Silver Spring and Columbia. I think those places are all about 20 minutes from the Center! I'll let you know if Stan has any other specific suggestions

I have been able to stay at the Sheraton College Park and the New Carrolton Courtyard by Marriott for $50.00 per night using Priceline. The thing is...once you book it, you pay for it. I have NEVER had a problem with the hotels I have gotten through Priceline, so I don't think you have to worry about the quality of the place they select for you. Again, the only thing that you have to realize is that there is no turning back! Susi

I was also going to mention Priceline as an option! I've used them several times as well for hotels and have gotten some really AWESOME deals. I think I got a hotel at the BWI Airport (Candlewood Suites with full kitchen) for like $40. You can get really good deals, but like Susi said...you have to pay for it when you give them the info and once it's payed for there are no refunds! It might be something you could try like a week or two before (sometimes it's better to do it last minute because they have a better idea of whether or not they will have availability)! You can limit your areas, too....so you won't get stuck somewhere really far away! Anyway, it's definitely an option for getting a good deal
Guest guest
Also, does anyone know the names possible motels? Darcy, You might want to look into the Comfort Suites at Laurel Lakes. It's only about 3 miles from the WMTC (according to maps.com ) I'm paying $80.00 per night and the room has a Refrigerator & Microwave and the hotel offers a free continental breakfast as well. I hope you and your friend can make it to the opening. Bev ===== T otal Commitment to whatever you do. A wareness of yourself and the world. E xcellence the truest goal in anything you do.
