Guest guest
Dear , It's nice to know you. Welcome to this support group! The people here are very kind and "unique." Many fight the "Stills dragon" every day, and some have fought for many years, and now feel better due to the right combination of meds, or maybe the "dragon" got sort of tired and has let up. (such as in my case) I have had the disease since 1971, with a couple of sweet remissions...but, no *real* remission since 1979. However, my rhuemy feels that at this time my health problems are due to destruction left behind by the "dragon." I had no diagnosis for (about) 16 years. Now most are diagnosed much sooner, and put on meds that help to stop destruction and maybe even the disease itself. Hoping the nose bleeding thingy has now quit. I have had many nosebleeds in the beginning of this disease. They would come on with no warning, and sometimes they were difficult to get under control. Once I even had to go to the hospital and have my nose "packed." They made me stay all night, and it was awful..because I had to sit up all night. That was one very long night! Thank you for the kind words you wrote for me just before your "not feeling so good" e-mail. You mentioned how "every body wants you to do something for them.." Most people just don't "get it." I mean they just don't understand how yukky we really do feel...maybe we "look" okay...but, we sure don't feel "okay" and that's where some of the problems come in where others don't understand how we can feel as sick as we try to tell them we are.
