Guest guest
Hi dsperson. (and everybody) I am back on the air now after quite a while away. I have been taking LDN for over a year now (59 year old male, primary progressive MS) and it has helped me greatly, to say the least. From my experience you may have to experiment with your dosage - just a little LDN seems to go a long way. I started out with 3.0 mg per day, then after a week went to 4.5mg, after which I began to get the benefits. Within a month I was out dancing again. And, fortunately for me, LDN never did interrupt my sleep - my problem has always been too much fatigue during the day, even though I would still have problems actually getting to sleep at night - see below. But about six months ago I got a real bad case of the flu (even though I had had my shots) and my MS symptoms got worse to boot. And stayed that way. After a while I upped my LDN dose to 6.0, and my MS got better almost right away. My legs still hurt a little bit, and I have some daily fatigue, but not bad. I also aquasize a lot, which helps tremendously if you can manage it. I have been taking sleeping pills - (15mg zopiclone) - and antidepressants - (2 mg lorazepam) for over four years now, and they and the LDN all seem to get along fine with each other. My quality of life is not too bad at all right now, all things considered. But, as they say, MS affects everyone differently, and some people unfortunately do not seem to tolerate LDN as well as others. Anyway, my email is trp001@... if you want to write me directly. Best of luck; I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Tom in Edmonton -- [low dose naltrexone] Twelve days in Dear Group,I've now been on LDN for 12 days and still having great trouble sleeping. I skipped my dose last night and slept pretty well.LDN has given me more energy, but energy wasn't really my problem. Not seeing any change in spasticity, in fact, it may have gottenworse. So I'm really debating whether to continue. What can Ilook for / hope for in terms of improvement of symptoms or reduction in side effects that would indicate I should stay on LDN?
