To the group:

I know that most MS people don't tolerate hot moist conditions very well. I was down in the British West Indies on business a few years ago and thought I was going to expire right on the spot.

However, that does not mean you necessarily can't tolerate hot tubs, whirlpools, etc. I know, because I can. Beats me as to why, but it's true.

I regularly exercise in a hot whirlpool for 2 - 4 hours at a time, 2 or 3 times a week. It doesn't bother me a bit, and helps tremendously. (I also use the regular cooler pool, trading back and forth - but both pools are right next to each other.) Maybe it's because the climate in Edmonton is usually quite dry - I don't know.

BUT IF YOU DO DECIDE TO TRY A SOAK IN HOT WATER, BE VERY CAREFUL AND HAVE SOMEONE WITHIN ARM'S REACH BECAUSE BEING IN HOT WATER IS VERY VERY DEBILITATING TO MOST MS SUFFERERS !!!!

SO BE WARNED ACCORDINGLY !!! BEEEEEEEEEEE CAREFUL !!!!!!!

Tom from Edmonton
