Guest guest
Arlene, I must confess to being guilty of this one - not out of lack of consideration - but rather lack of knowledge, a major short term memory problem and severe cognitive dysfunction at trying to figure things out and comprehending instructions. I have had to try to simplify as much as possible in my life so it has been easiest to just hit reply to a message I am responding to. I just figured out today how to send an email to someone off the list who asked me to contact them almost 2 weeks ago. I'll try to remember to cut and delete old replies to the posts from here on in as suggested below. I am really sorry that this has been a problem for you. It is good to know and like you said, if it is bothersome to you it is probably bothersome to others as well. Have a great day, Barbara [low dose naltrexone] Re: Please edit replies! > Hi Folks, I would like to request that you please edit your replies. I > get the digest and end up either getting pain in my fingers from > scrolling through all the repeated stuff or get bleary-eyed if I just > use my down arrow on my keyboard. I know I can't be the only one. > Thanks, Arleen=========We've gotten alot of new members lately who don't know to cut and delete some portions of the old replies to the original message. Keeping the original message in the reply is okay and then put your reply on but try to remember to cut and delete other old replies from your reply post. Makes it easier for those who get the digest form. I prefer to come in and read the board, that way I can skip over topics of no interest to me. Guest guest
Hi Rhonda, Personally I just let the messages drop into my inbox. Makes a mess of your inbox but that way I don't miss replies or answers I'm interested in reading. This may sound silly but when I go to the group site, I find it so confusing - keep in mind I have severe cognitive dysfunction with my illnesses. Haven't tried the digest form yet. Barb I don't under stand why people choose the digest over just reading from the group site. The digest would drive me crazy. Guest guest
Hi guys. I don't mean to make a big thing out of this, but the interchange between you two here bothered me a little. When I got home today, I had TONS of mail on the LDN network to dig through, and a LOT of it was in sending mass listserv-wide communications, when the sender really only needed to look for the sender's email address and reply to THAT ADDRESS, not to the entire LDN listserv group. Now, everyone in this listserv tonight must dig through tons of personal communications like this that weren't really needed. I'm sorry to make an issue out of this by communicating this comment just to you, Barbara (because many people on the listserv are equally guilty of wasting other's time digging through piles of email unnecessarily; so PLEEEASE: if anyone out there has a personal comment back to just the sender of a previous email, type their email address into the TO field, and don't just hit reply! I'm sure a LOT of folks out there will agree with me... Guest guest
I hope that people remeber that a lot of ms people are dealing with brain fog - I know I was - pre ldn - if you are capable of deleting - just do so...I think it is more important to encourage each other in healing than to be picky about how they respond. If an answer is not for me - I know it and simply delete it...I read what I need to learn. lg

Guest guest
Once I started fighting this chronic illness - little things became that - LITTLE THINGS. Anyone is welcome to join my glyco- friends group. It is not an LDN group - although some of us take ldn and the glyco products. We talk about nutriton, exercise and life... overall it is a safe and encouraging place to be.... The goal should be to encourage each other in healing - not give ettiquitte lessons on posting messages... lg

I have pretty much dropped out of the other groups I belong to becauseof just that issue - the complaining and the way folks try to controleach other over little stuff. Like you - the small stuff just doesn'tmatter anymore to me - functioning and not going nuts is my goal. Iloved reading your comment, and thanks for the invite - probably won'tjoin, but nice to know that there is someone out there like you -warm, welcoming and not ready to jump on the small stuff.Cinders
Guest guest
Very well said Calvin. Rhonda wrote: I noticed from the begining of being on this group that people didn't edit so thought it wasn't a big deal. I really do not get why people are flipping out so much about this. There are a lot of people on this group with severe disabilities. If you are one that isn't, just be thankful and stop complaining. Everyone has the choice to read from the website also.
