Guest guest
Last night I opened my ldn capsule and drank it down with a small amount of gateraide.... I woke up to use the bathroom at 11:30 when my son came home - and then I slept until 5 -when the alarm goes up..... I am ready to order and make my own liquid.... I feel better today... Guest guest
Lori, Did the ingredients dissolve before you drank it, or did you just drink it down ? I did the same thing the last 2 nights(in water tho) and I stirred it up, but it didn't dissolve...so I just chugged it. -- [low dose naltrexone] capsule in liquid Last night I opened my ldn capsule and drank it down with a small amount of gateraide.... Guest guest
If you want to dissolve capsules...Why not open the capsule, pour it into a little juice and mix. Eliminates the dissolving problem.
Guest guest
It is the quantity of naltrexone not the quantity of water that is important. Last night, I just opened the capsul and tossed it all into my mouth. -
Guest guest
I tried it once in water and it didn't seem to dissolve, but it did in the gateraide... I'm going to take it that way again tonight... and soon I am thinking of ordering the Revia tabs..I would love to be free of doctors... Guest guest
I'm going for the Revia tabs too. I'll try some juice to try to dissolve it into tonight.I'm off sugar , so Gatorade won't work for me. Guest guest
I don't try to dissolve the capsule itself...just the ingredients inside. I throw the capsule away. It's the inside stuff that doesn't dissolve, no matter how much I stir it up.Does anyone know if it matters how much water or liquid you mix it with? -- Re: [low dose naltrexone] capsule in liquid If you want to dissolve capsules...Why not open the capsule, pour it into a little juice and mix. Guest guest
, When I talked with Skip once he said the avicel is colored to help him keep the LDN strength's separate. The 3mg is colored green from brussel sprouts and the 1.5 mg was pink from cranberry. I don't know what color the 4.5 mg is.. When I empty my capsule in water, I am pretty sure the LDN dissolves and the avicel doesn't. I have opened my capsules for the last 2 nights and have had 2 good days. Guest guest
, mine dissolves in a little OJ.(about an inch) Maybe it's the filler that is giving you the problem. Mine is lactose filler and disappears immediately in the OJ.
Guest guest
Just to check! -Ever since I started on LDN one & a half years ago, I have been opening up the capsules, dividing the content to the required dose & taking the powder dry, by itself, simply dissolving it in my mouth before swallowing. (I thought that this would be the most effective way of ensuring fast release.) I don`t think that I have ever taken the whole glycerine part of the capsule (-maybe half of it accidentaly when I slipped while emptying it into my mouth....) With all this talk recently, I have tried dissolving the powder in a small amount of water a few times -just to ensure that I wasn`t missing anything! Predictably, I didn`t notice any difference taking it with a little water like this, so I am still inclined to believe that dissolving the powder directly in the saliva in the mouth must ensure the fastest possible release. If anyone does know any reason why a drop of water would speed things along even further, I would much appreciate hearing of it! Also, I`m curious, Kikki that you can notice differences so readily: Though dosage seemed to be rather "hair trigger" for me initially, nowadays, slight dosage variation, or even forgetting to take a dose altogether seems to have less noticeable effect on me than say, variations in amount of sleep, exercise, diet, temperature & so forth. (-Perhaps it comes down to you keeping a more consistantly disciplined life style than I do?! ) Best wishes to every one, Gerald Re: [low dose naltrexone] capsule in liquid It is the quantity of naltrexone not the quantity of water that is important. Guest guest
Still averages out to $10 a month from medsmex so that is economical!! And since I got a script for generic(same ingredients a Revia), I'm only paying $10 for 30 pills, $1 a month to heal me. Anyone know why Mexico does their meds 28 pills and not 30? Strange And we can all Thank for telling me to try the liquid method. Where was my brain for 5 months taking the crushed! Got the brain back now tho!!Yeah!!!!! Guest guest
YES, don't waste time trying to dissolve capsules. Just open and pour in whatever you are drinking. That is what my dad is doing with the compounded LDN. Rhonda > If you want to dissolve capsules...Why not open the capsule, pour it into a > little juice and mix. Eliminates the dissolving problem. Guest guest
I opened my capsulethe other night and did the same thing.....however I felt worse than if I had taken it in pill form. I had gotten a nasty headache from it also. I am finding that if I take this pill at 8:30....I am usually tired by 2 the next afternoon. I am on 3 mg. Is this normal? is this a sign that I may have to go up to 3.5? --- Lori <lorigrady214@...> wrote: > Last night I opened my ldn capsule and drank it down > with a small > amount of gateraide.... Always try to go up to Bihari's recommended dose of 4.5mg and if it's a problem then back down.
