Guest guest
dear bruce i have read through yr stuff on the website.....its wonderful that this disease has been backing off, hopefully you can make it go to sleep! i was dx myeloma - much the same time as you with kidney cancer.....oct '04 and went through some hoops to find out what i might do. i don't have such clear answers as you.....but things are shaping up. i started out taking 5 gms of glutathione a day (advice from harry demopoulos an ex prof of pathology i knew from ney york....i live in australia) but the numbers kept rising through to january '05. i stumbled on the budwig flax oil/cottage cheese thing jan 25 and got very encouraging results by 18 march, but gradually the numbers have been climbing again - march 18 they had been knocked back to the sept. level. so i have been looking for more to deal with the situation & have found a most interesting website http://www.grouppekurosawa.com/ have a look.... go to 'blog' i have adopted EGCGsyn, chrysyn & luteolin......i continue with lots of flax seed and still the flax oil/cottage cheese. what do you think the LDN does for your kidney cancer? best wishes - joe record
Guest guest
Lets begin with my latest set of blood tests that came back Thursday. Until this point, what you read on my sight is to the letter what I am doing. I believe cancer is beaten by attacking it from 6 different avenues. You have to choke off its food supply and its ability to be fed. You have to get it to not communicate with other cells. Because cancer is a genetically instable process, all forms of cancer show abnormal protein expression. Tumors can grow by both invasion of local tissue and by metastasis; you must stop this. Finally, cancer is really good at hiding. It can cloak itself and hide from your body’s immune system. So, I read roughly 5,000 pages of scientific study and developed the plan that is there. I started with 2 large tumors in the kidneys, a small one on outside of the right kidney, at least 6 lymph nodes involved, and micrometastasis to the liver. Stage 4, bummer. In 5 months, I have stopped the cancer cold and reversed the process. Tumors are shrinking dramatically and my blood work is more normal than most “normally healthy” people. From that perspective, I will beat this. Now the trick is to put it into total remission and this can be done by any number of different ways. I could continue what I am doing or I can vary the process and focus on tumor elimination now that the immediate threat of growth and prolifereation are at bay. I assume in your bloodwork from your doctor you are checking the following: Interleukin 6, GGT(P), LD, Sed Rate, C-Reactive Protein, and CEA along with at least a comprehensive metabolic panel and CBC plus urine analysis. If not, then get yourself a baseline using these tests. You need to be sure of what aspects of the tumor progression you are in need of fighting. I am aware of group Kurowsawa. Dr. Steve is a very brilliant person, but I have watched him jump to conclusions based upon insufficient study. They are attacking cancer from a different perspective than I did in my initial phases. I have every confidence in what the overall game plan is that they have and would not hesitate to put that forward as a viable path to pursue. As a matter of fact, I will be publishing the changes in my routine within the next week, when I get time. I am keeping about 2/3 of what I am doing and adding in luteolin/rutin plus EGCGsyn, chrysyn. The key to all of this is keeping a constant barrage going against all of the things that I identified as stopping cancer. I am adding the above items because of the way they are presented to the body and can bypass the liver to work on both the lymph and kidneys. I kept most of the enzymes I was using for a number of reasons, but primarily they attack cancer cells and break them down. I kept other things such as curcumin, feverfew, shark liver oil, horse chestneut extract and NAC because they work to prohibit distant metastasis by strengthening cell walls and reducing inflammation. I believe that any cancer can be knocked down and put in remission, but it takes a logical approach and attacking it from a number of directions is intuitively smarter than doing only one or 2 things. The final thing is the major change in dietary style. If you do not change your diet, you are playing Russian roulette with your life. Most probably the reason your cancer came back is that cancer mutates readily. By attacking it from only one or two ways, the cells can mutate just outside the range of effectiveness of what you are doing. That is why I chose to do what I did initially. Now that the cancer is dormant, I can focus more closely on defeating it with the primary focus on starvation as used by group Kurowsawa. I assume you are in contact with Tom Lahey. Say hi to Tom for me. He has taught me a lot in the last few weeks about advanced chemistry. If you haven’t talked or corresponded with him, drop me a note and I will give you contact points. He is one of the most knowledgeable people I have come in contact with since my diagnosis and I heartily recommend him. I am using LDN simply as an immune system booster. I am not anticipating that it will do anything directly for my cancer, although because of the nature of cancer being an immune dysfunction, it most certainly has the possibility of working if nothing else does. I just want the extra 200% boost to keep my system at the top. I plan on it being part of the maintenance routine for the rest of my life; so you can definitely say that it is crucial in the long run to my fight. Is there anything else I can help you with? Guest guest
hi bruce! i missed this reply to my post & have only just picked up on it. so here is my chance to thank you for the full reply! glad to know that you are already on to the GK site, and that yo uknow tom lahey.... yeah i do phone him,he is a kind and funny man....lots of help! i can't have the sort of chat with him that you might share since my science is very scratchy.....however i manage to learn as i go. > Lets begin with my latest set of blood tests that came back Thursday. You need to be sure of > what aspects of the tumor progression you are in need of fighting. > YES....i get regular monthly tests, the " numbers maxed out january 5 and after i went on the flaxseed oil/cottage cheese diet jan 25 they receded very encouragingly by 18 march!!!!! but have since been climbing back up. this takes me up to the tie of beginning with GK site ideas: now on luteolin 1 month and the EGCG/chrysyn/lutisyn now 3 weeks. i sort of feel ok......but things are complicated with bad shoulder pain from rotator cuff trouble/partial tears in the supraspinator tendon + C5 nerve compression. this seem to distort everything! however it does not seem myeloma related. with blood results the sed rate ESR is up very high (105) CRP is good, very low. paraprotein up to 37 and the B2M betamicrogobulin is down a bit (good) again. so things are sort of stable.......huh! myeloma.....need to just push these numbers much lower. my doctor, obviously wanted to put me on thalidomide/dexamethasone with a following stem cell transplant. however i have just hung on with eprex (EPO) for the anaemia & zometa - bisphosphonate for the bones. i am keen to see how the " syns " do over the next 2 months. > > I am aware of group Kurowsawa. If you do not change your diet, you are > playing Russian roulette with your life. diet is well changed for many years really bruce. i have been a long distance running freak for 30 years. even so,since last october i have been through various trials....vegan etc and back to something a little more relaxed, fish (canned sardines mostly) veggies, oats, almonds fruit, flax seed & oil, yoghurt, green tea, some wine some beer, and i think i will start eating some liver. fats are really mostly flax...w3 > > > > Most probably the reason your cancer came back is that cancer mutates > readily.
