Guest guest
Hi again everyone! I'd like to address this question. My daughter is 6 years old. I would like to say that she is borderline high functioning. She is verbal. We are finding that during her down time that she is " scripting " more frequently. Whether it be from a movie or from her day at school, it soothes her. She is also scripting in class while they are doing a craft which they are prompting her not to do and prompting her to socialize with her peers. My questions is for those of you that have experience with this, do you find that as the child ages, do they grow out of this or is this something that they continue to do? Will she always script? I know children can learn how to script " quietly to themselves " .. Please don't think I'm asking this because I think it's a nuisance. I'm just asking out of curiosity. As always, I appreciate any input you can give me. Regards, Amy
