I fear we could have some people getting too much endorphin block and cause more harm with their disease than good with these experiments. Yes, you are causing a block in your endorphins during the daytime LDN dose. You're not going to have a perfect day every single day on LDN. Monthly female cycles and infections, fevers, weather and allergies will cause disturbance in how you feel.
Guest guest
Unique to the individual, as was explained to me. Most, by large majority (95+%) produce endorphins in the early morning hours (light/dark issue NOT SLEEP ISSUE but some people’s body clocks are different. I was frankly surprised that this one aspect was normal for me as nothing I have ever done has been qualified as normal. Lets say, for sake of argument, that you are “normal” and between 2 and 4 in the morning is when your endorphins do their thing. Roughly 70-75% are pumped out at that point and residuals follow during the rest of the day. Taking an off peak stimulant would most probably only add 5 – 10% kick where otherwise you could be getting up to 200% (arbitrary numbers, but not too far out of range from what I have read on pubmed and other Dr. Zagon papers. So, if you happen to take your LDN at the low point of the day, you could get a cyclical 10% boost that feels good then, but does little else during the balance of the 24 hours. However, if you are not “normal” and you body clock thinks that noon or 2 in the afternoon is when it wants to make endorphins, taking them at night for you would be like taking them in the daytime for anyone else. I hope this makes some sense to you. Without some serious testing to determine your endorphin cycle, it really is a guessing game. And no, I have not had that done and can only go on what I have read. You would need to be in contact with someone doing university level experimenting to get answers to these questions. That is why you have nothing to loose with a trial if you are not experiencing good things at night, but you do want the on/off triggering of the endorphins and opiate receptors which is where the original concept came of doing this only once per day. I didn't take til 2pm and trying to figure out what I'm feeling and will let you know. Seems I'm feeling something in my hands and legs/feet and I may be feeling more alert. If the LDN works when taking between 9pm and 3am, what exactly will LDN do to the brain during day when it's not blocking what happens to brain during 9pm to 3am? Does anyone really know? Can more endorphins be made by taking LDN in day or can that only happen taking at night? Rhonda
Guest guest
Around 6pm I had energy kick in so I guess endorphins kicked up a notch. I don't plan to do day doses again but was just curious since a couple people on the group tried this. Seems one man did doses 3 times a day but not sure he still is. I'm still debating whether to take my night dose tonight. I've had one person tell me not to. Well, here comes that thunderstorm I've been feeling all day long! At least I didn't get a Migraine. We've had a Humid bad week here this week and I always feel storms/fronts/barometer changes and didn't go thru this when younger. It's crazy! and others don't feel nothing which I don't understand! Think I'll go workout. Rhonda > I was feeling crapy today due to sinus and female stuff so I decided to > experiment taking in daytime.
