Yesterday's lunch and my MIL

Hiya all, I'm so sorry I missed yesterday's lunch. I so wanted to

be there but had to attend a family function.

Over the past couple of weeks, my mother in law has been ringing my

home to talk to my husband and every time I answer the phone she

hangs up. I know it's her because firstly hers is the only number

which comes up as private on my phone and also this only ever

happens when she's not talking to me. By the way, she's not talking

to me because I finally had the guts to tell her off for her last 21

years of meddling in my marriage and continuously putting her son

against me. If I ring her it usually takes her ages to answer the

phone because she's not very mobile. So, yesterday she called in

the morning and when I answered she hung up. I called her number

back immediately and lo and behold she answered straight away,

funny that, she was obviously right next to the phone. I told her

to stop it and that I know it's her, she of course immediately hung

up on me. Then she rang back an hour later but my daughter answered

the phone.

Well, she was also at the family function, I said hello to everyone

else that was there, but walked right past her, in fact I didn't

even look at her in the face. I've never done that before, you

wouldn't believe how nervous I was. In the past when she's had the

s***s with me for whatever stupid reason, I've always said hello to

her and she's usually just given me a nod because she's had no

choice but this time I held my head up high. I don't deserve to be

treated like crap. And if my husband can't deal with me not talking

to his mummy, he knows what he can do, I honestly don't care anymore.

Aaaaah that's better.
