I'm suddenly so very tired. All I want to do is sleep. Not feeling well at all. I think I am having the starts of a major flare. I have the rash all over my chest and partly on my face. The pain seems to be getting worse in my wrists and my right shoulder and elbow. I have an appt tomorrow with the doc. I'm thinking I must go back up on the prednisone. Also I need to get this whole enbrel drug thing situated.

Good lucky, Carey, with the doctor tomorrow. I'm sure he'll give you something for your pain. If you are one hundred percent against Prednisone, maybe he will suggest a pain reliever. Are your joints inflamed or just hurting?

Gentle hugs from....

Hi Jenn:

I am really sorry that you are feeling so bad and I wish that there was something that I could do to help you. I think the first thing you should do is see your Doc and tell him about this sudden mood change due to the Med change and have him put you back on the Zoloft which sounds like it was doing very well. Then you could ask him to recommend a counselor or Psychiatrist for you. It sounds like that is all that you need, is someone to talk to and with no one else living around you that understands this Disease it is very understandable. Even someone who doesn't understand it would be a better help than no one at all. I suggest you just let the web site go until you are feeling better and I will help you out as best I can, if that is ok with you? I can't understand the trouble you are having with your new computer, especially since it's a Dell which I also have. What seems to be the problem with it? Maybe I can help with it? Well Sweetie, you take it easy now and be PAIN FREE! Please let me know if there is any way that I can help you? Love Ya!

-- Having a difficult time now

Hi everyone, Im having a real difficult time these past two days, I cant handle stessful things and I just go bazerk. Im so stressed that my husband is leaving for Korea in 2 days and I cant deal with it. Im so angry that he is leaving me with this house to take care of and now everything is breaking, our air conditioner is having problems of all days when it's 95 degrees outsite with humidity, you cant' breathe out there, inside it's about 85 degrees, Now my brand new computer is broken, it's a pice of sh*t. It is supposed to be the top of the line, it costs over 2000, laptop, it is a Dell but I cant get their customer support to do anything, so Im just returning it, but Im just mad cause I have to find something else I wonder if I could handle these things better if I wasnt in the middle of switching meds from zoloft to wellbutrinxl. 's posts made me wonder about his expereice wiht zyban, since wellbutrin has the same ingredient in it as zyban does, and I think this wellbutrin is making me crazy. I was saying things to my husband like that I have been depressed about the fact that I cant contribute more money to the family, and that he completely takes care of me and I dont want that, I want to take care of myself but I cant. And I hate my job, but we need the money. He wants children so bad, and I can give them to him all because of this stills!!!! The more I think of it still's has completely ruined my life. And all I have to look forward to is more surgeries. It's times like this that you want to just check out But that is not an option either, because I could never hurt my husband like that nor my parents. /So I found myself right back where I start, miserable , depressed, I want to be a pharmacist but I cant do it physically, I know my body, some days I collapse after walking around for 2 hours

I think I need to see some conceling, maybe a psycharists. maybe he can figure out which med would work better, I know prozac doesnt work. There are so many new meds out now. But i need someone to talk to

my husband is wonderful, he doesnt always understand but he helps me he doesn't want me hurting. His mian thing now is to save as much money as possible this next year while he is in korea, so we can be debt free and then we can adopt, but I have seen how I am with those boys and I dont have any mothering skills, I would be the worst mother and I dont think I can do it,

Im Im still grieving for my dog Max, every day I cry for him and for Rocky our Golden. I dont know how to work through this, it's not normal and Ive got to see a psychaitris. I only have one close friend that I could talk to her aobut some of these things but she is planning her wedding and is way to busy to listen to me.

I just sit here and cry and cry, it's 3:30am my husband is sleeping next to me and Im online and crying. I know I hurt him so bad today and I didint want to. I told him how I felt trapped, that if I wanted to leave I couldnt because Im unable to take care of myself. I cant pay for my meds, and I never want to crawl back to my parents. I dont want to leave him, it's just that I dont have any choices. He will always take care of me because Im sick, because I have this damn illness and I cant work a normal job and provide a decent income to help, He says he wants to take care of me that is what he is here for, that should have made me feel better but it didnt so now I wonder if the medicineis reallly messing with my mind. I didn't feel this way until I stopped my zoloft and began the wellbutrinxl I dont know what to do .. Im sorry to dump this on all of yall.. like this.... I just needed to write. I love you guys

Dear Carey,

It's possible that some of your meds are not working well together. Did you say earlier

that you see your ruemy tomorrow?? If not, it might be a good idea to give him/her a

call and let them know how sick you feel and the pain you are in. If the pain is severe

with no letup, it might not be a bad idea to make a visit to the ER. At least they should

be able to give you something for pain relief so you could get some sleep this night.

Ulcers in your mouth could be from one of the meds, or even candida overgrowth

from the roids. Lysine tablets will help this, and I do believe there are a few other

things that help as well. Tell your doc everything, you need relief soon my friend.

Hi Carey,

Celebrex did zilch for me......Darvocet took the edge off my pain but not much. Vioxx was useless also. Please speak with your Rheumatologist and ask him if he thinks adding MTX could help you. Remember, when I started Enbrel, it did nothing for me until I added MTX and then I saw results within a month. I never had ulcers in my mouth but I'd get terrible sore throats.

Carey thats pretty normal with the pain & the prednisone. How long have you been on the pred cause i found when it finally started really kickin in that i was acually really sleepy. But for sure this can be sideffect of the prednisone, then again its so hard to sleep with the pain headaches and all the other BS we deal with.I have never had problem with ulcers in the mouth,do you take Meth as well with the other meds mentioned i know it can cause the mouth sores(i do have a nasty cold-sore)but either perfume or aftershave usually kill that i found. If it is a Flare witch sounds like, hopfully it will be very short one,you take care,if you absolutly cant sleep read book but somehow get little rest. d.Canada

Hi Carey,

I'm so sorry that you are having a difficult time right now. It will get better. Please call your doctor and let him/her know what is going on. What strength of hydrocodone are you on? Perhaps your doctor can give you a stronger dose. I take MSContin 30mgs twice a day and Lortab 7.5 mgs three times a day and it has managed my pain effectively by at least 85%. You may want to ask and see if your doctor is willing to give you MSContin. Many docs are leary of this medication because of all the bad publicity of people abusing this drug, but it has been a Blessing for me.

When I was taking Pred, Mtx and Enbrel I did get horrible mouth ulcers. Spicey foods were intolerable as well. My tongue would swell up too. It was awful. You may want to try gargling with a mixture of warm salt water to soothe the sores. I found eating yogurt helped too. Have you developed thrush? I had that also. The thrush got so bad that it even spread to the back of my throat. The doc had to give me an oral solution by prescription to swish in my mouth to relieve and get rid of it. Gensin violet is very good for both the thrush and the ulcers. You can get it over the counter, but it will make your mouth purple. LOL.

Sleeping can be helped with Benadryl, but check with your doc first before you take it to be sure that there won't be any problems with any of your other medications. We have to be so careful with over the counter meds. I take two Benadryl when I can't sleep. It knocks me right out.

Hang in there and I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Much love,

Terry

Terry...I am currently taking 5/325 of the hydrocodone...I guess that's the mgs?? I went to the doctors this morning. He put me back up on the prednisone...60mgs. Not too happy about that decision, as I am blowing up like a balloon! But I have to do what I have to do.....Did not sleep much, last night, even though I was so tired. The pain in my left wrist is horrible! He's also sending me for some more blood work up. I'm still waiting to hear from a pharmaceutical company called IVP, about the help with the enbrel.

Yes, as far as the ulcers go...I have been getting them frequently. The doc told me to gargle with warm salt water. eeewwwwww.... No I haven't had any problems with thrush?? Not really sure what that is? I do have zanax..He said if I have trouble sleeping to take a half of one. OK..well gonna go lay down.....
