I had my surgery 2 months 3 weeks ago, and am down 62 pounds. I am

really starting to feel better than I did at first. I can have a

variety of foods, but still have to be careful with spicy foods, and

ice cream and pudding make me very sick. I can eat small amounts of

milk. I bought Lactaid this week, and it works much better. I also

have Rheumatoid Arthritis, and Fibromyalgia. I have both knees

replaced, and 3 herniated discs. I am 41, so it's hard to limit my

activities to keep the pain under control, but I am finding as the

weight goes down, I can be more active. I am riding an exercise bike

that exercises your upper body too. I really enjoy reading all the

posts, and am learning a lot.

I also seemed to recover my Umph between 2-3 months post-op, It

appears you are right on target.

Your food tolerance will increase with time. You might always have a

Lactose intolerance problem...but hey, you can live without Ice

Cream...lol, Cuz...there is always Sherbet!

(Okay...disclaimer...watch the sugar intake to maximize your weigh-

loss period because it will go away and every ounce of sugar you eat

now DOES slow your weigh-loss)

Regaining mobility is one of the greatest blessing to weight-loss.

It won't take away the Arthritis or Fibro...but without the weight on

the joints it sure does help. Bravo to you for riding an exercise

bike! That is soooo important, not only for weight-loss but just for

general health. (sending you a High-5!)

Hugs

Jo
