Guest guest
I really appreciate the conversation on this list, and I'm learning a lot. I am the mom of a 12yo son with high functioning autism. He and I are both taking LDN in a transdermal form. We just started 5 days ago. I have active chronic Epstein Barr virus, and have been prone to a lot of other autoimmune chronic fatigue and virus type stuff, as well as hypothyroid. It's my understanding that some autism docs have been having very good results recently using LDN in this form. I have a question about another disorder. I have a good friend who suffers from Ankylosing Spondylitis. He is in considerable pain, and takes a ton of heavy pain meds at times. I understand that this is an autoimmune disorder, and also that there are some contraindications to using heavy pain medications at the same time as LDN -- that it might cancel out their effects?? Not quite sure I understand that part or if it would still be true at the low doses. Anyhow, I'd love to point my friend in the direction of something that might help halt the progress of his condition or help some with the symptoms of it. Does anyone here know if Dr. Bihari is considering it for use with Ank. Spondylitis patients, or is anyone here using it for that condition? Thanks so much!
