Guest guest
Hey Debi, For all girls, regardless of the age they begin menstruation, the average weight is 103 pounds. However, height at menarche differs depending on age. The average height for all girls at menarche is 62 inches, but later-maturing girls are, on average, taller than earlier- maturing girls. 12-year-old girls have been the same average height and weight for over 50 years in this country. There are many factors that influence onset of menstruation, such as nutrition, disease, exercise and high altitude. I would tell this girl to eat high quality, nutritious foods, don't diet or over-exercise, don't drink sodas and limit or cut out caffeine. > Hey all, anyone know what the average height increase is in a healthy > female just starting her cycle?
