Guest guest
Hi This is very interesting. We have used enemas alot in the past.We also use suppositories to help my son pass stools.Anyway,a few years ago he was banging himself against a desk at daycare. We thought it was another UTI.We took him to children's hospital and found out after getting xray that he was severely backed despite having bm's almost everyday. There was old stool backed up quite a bit.The doc told us to do an enema immediately when we got home.We still use them and anything else that will keep his bm's moving it definately makes a difference in his behavior. I would like to buy the book.Is it still available to purchase or is it an older book? "To accomplish great things, we must not only act, wemust dream; not only plan but also believe." Subject: EnemasTo: mb12 valtrex Received: Friday, August 1, 2008, 1:24 AM I am reading the book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) which someone recommended on some board (belong to so many!). She actually recommends enemas. She says that it is the only way to get out compacted and stuck on stool in the intestines.Of course I would love to avoid a procedure like this, but I think it would be a great way to get out all the bad bacteria that Valtrex has kicked up in my 3 yr. old. She stool held for one year and only went once a week. She actually created a pocket where a softball sized stool was stuck. That part of her body did not have blood flow to the area (a part of her stomach was always cold). She did pass it and went from being 5 times mercury toxic to only 2 times without any other intervention, vitamins, etc. I can't help but think that she didn't pass it all and some is stuck in there and probiotics will never be enough to clean her out. So anyone with experience with this. Good idea or bad? TIAChris Yahoo! Canada Toolbar : Search from anywhere on the web and bookmark your favourite sites. Download it now! Guest guest
Enemas have been a HUGE part of healing for our whole family. This is something that every great grandmother knew to do for her family. We must get over it being a horrible thing to have to do next. Folks just as we teach our children to brush their teeth, we need to create a culture in our homes of cleansing. It is absolutely normal to need to cleanse your colon. If we had all known to eat digestable foods and establish healthy gut flora we wouldn't need so much assistance in this area. But coupled with the massive amts of toxins our children endured in the womb and then once born....these kids need to have their colon cleansed. I kid you not, during seizures, my son stopped rolling his eyes and used pronouns for the first time as yellow fluid evacuated his rectal area. At the first sign of seizure or sore throat I immediately do an enema. We no longer see seizures, but I thank GOD I knew to do this during those times. We have now worked up to a series of colonics in the spring for my son. This will be the way we live, just as people go to the dentist for regular check ups. Parents if we do show our kids that this is just the way it is.....it won't feel so weird to them. They will sense your discomfort on the matter. I let my kids observe me (very discreet) so they understood the process. I even let my baby girl give her giraffee an enema when " sick. " Just as kids play doctor, we need to teach these types of wellness techniques. Most of us didn't grow up using terms like penis and vagina, some how we learned this was a scary dangerous body part. Let's teach our children about their body in an appropriate way. We get sick, we need to cleanse.....they even have books now " everybody poops. Guest guest
Is there another way to cleanse the colon other than enemas? They sell a ton of colon cleansing products, does anyone know if any of them are any good? Mine is 17, she's not going to let me do an enema on her, but she would take pills if anyone can recommend a good one Thanks, tylertaylin wrote: Enemas have been a HUGE part of healing for our whole family. Guest guest
Hi How frequently do you use enema for your kids? Can I use the pre-packaged (disposable) enema that I can get from pharmacies?
Guest guest
I tried a glycerin one to see how it felt before doing one on my son. I saw that the regular enema is sodium phosphate- is this toxic? I mean phosphates... I am curious about the urge to go. How long do you try and hold it in? And how often do you need to go? I found I went once within minutes- and nothing again. I am asking because of schedules, etc. Carolyn
Guest guest
Mine takes OLE now, 500 mg twice a day. I have more of a problem with constipation than she does, I should try it myself huh? Thanks for the info, kbelmquist wrote: At least once a day. My daughter used to be constipated...only 1 or 2 poops per week. After about a month on OLE, she became more regular as well. I would give it a try and give it some time!!karen> > > > > > > > From: C Lyon <clyonsleep@ >> > > > Subject: Enemas> > > > To: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. com> > > > Received: Friday, August 1, 2008, 1:24 AM> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am reading the book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) which > > > someone recommended on some board (belong to so many!). I have all three of my children (including the 3.5 yr old) on 1500/day for a good 3 months.let us all know how it goes.karen> > > > > > > > > > From: C Lyon <clyonsleep@ >> > > > > Subject: Enemas> > > > > To: mb12 valtrex@ yahoogroups. com> > > > > Received: Friday, August 1, 2008, 1:24 AM> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I am reading the book, Gut and Psychology Syndrome (GAPS) > which > > > > someone recommended on some board (belong to so many!). Guest guest
This is something I am just learning about but when my father in law witnessed me give Cod Liver Oil to my kids I said, "All those Great Grandma's couldn't have been wrong.." trying to be funny and blow it off he said, 'you know what else they did? I always got an enema if I had a fever! With in 1 hour, the fever broke and I got better!" So then I wondered (about a year ago) what the heck was that connection? Then I realized that the body can only fight so much bacteria and toxins. If you rid yourself of that ... which is easily gotten rid of... then the body can fight like it should against a virus or toxins! Does this make sense to anyone else? I say again, I was not a science major but am trying to learn for the sake of my children! Johanna
