Terri,

I don't know what Dr. Bihari knows about treating Ankylosing

Spondylitis but if it is auto-immune, it would be definitely worth

trying. There were a few messages on this topic a few days ago but I

can't remember what they all said. Perhaps you'd want to look back thru

the posts of the last week or so.

AS is thought to be an auto-immune disorder, LDN would be a great choice for

your friend. The LDN would block the effects of the narcotics your friend is

using and put him into withdrawal symptoms. People need to be off narcotics for

at least 7 or more days before starting LDN. Also, many MS patients have used

the transdermal LDN but it did not halt disease progression. I know several who

take LDN for CFS and Fibro need as much as 4.5mg of LDN to work for them but

this is in capsule form. How is the transdermal working for your CFS and what

mg of LDN are you using? I've read a bit about transdermal naltrexone being

used for autism with some positive results.

Many people fail to read this page of the LDN site.

Terri,

If you do get LDN in capsules for yourself you could try Skip's. You would know

whether or not the Avicel was making you sick. Skip only uses Avicel. If you

decide to get capsules for your son I would recommend going with Irmat Pharmacy

in New York and ask them to use Acidophalus in your son's capsules. I've never

heard one complaint from those who use Acidophalus as a filler. You need to

stick with a known LDN reputable compounding pharmacy. Dr. Bihari sends all of

his patients to Irmat so you might want to order from them to be on the safe

side.

Also getting the 50mg ReVia Naltrexone tablets and mixing your own LDN as a

liquid may benefit your son and you the best, worth a try. If you need the

mixing instructions for the liquid LDN let me know.

I have heard these saunas you speak of are good for detoxifying the body.

Thank you. could you give me any websites to obtain info on how to purchase one of these? also, once you are able to sweat, it opens up all kinds of healing in the body. it sounds like you are so supportive of your wife and that helps people with ms more than most can imagine. it really has a huge impact on your health how the other family members respond. I send you both my blessings

[low dose naltrexone] Ankylosing Spondylitis and LDN? My wife has MS and AS. MS responded to LDN and did also drastically reduce her pain from AS but we think that was due to spasm reduction from the MS i.e. not a direct effect on the AS. Every time she got a cold this effect was totally negated. We solved this problem with electronic pain control www.remediuk.com . LDN now works all of the time. We have also been using a Dr Zapper (loosely based on the suppressed Cancer cure by Royal Rife) This has had good effects on MS and seems to be of help with AS but we are really not so sure of the effect on AS. We have also been experimenting with Far Infra Red Saunas (BE VERY VERY CAREFUL IF YOU CONSIDER USING THIS ON SOMEONE WITH MS). This has improved heat tolerance problems with the MS. My wife.s back problem is now much better and that may well be as a result of LDN but the only thing we can be certain of is the Remedi electronic pain control. Dave >
