Guest guest
I admire your determination and believe all things are possible for each of us. We have to be careful who our friends are. Choice people who encourage you and make you feel empowered. Don't get stuck in a co-dependency trap where someone is always trying to do for you what you can do for yourself. You must keep active and that is true if you don't have a chronic condition! I'm happy that you are doing so well and wish for everyone that type of willfulness. Kathy [low dose naltrexone] If you don't use your arms & legs you'll lose function in them.... if they are affected by MS. My neuro always warned me that if I did not use my legs or arms I'd lose the function in them and be permanently stuck in a wheelchair. Almost was anyway but I kept on fighting to stay somewhat ambulatory in the house. So for 14 years before I started LDN I did pool therapy and got physical therapy off and on and my mom became my massage therapist. I got in the pool before LDN at least 3 days a week and did no less than 2 hours work on my legs and arms. The YMCA is a 50 mile drive one way from my home, I WAS DETERMINED!! After LDN I had a significant reduction in pain and some reduction in fatigue and I took full advantage of that. I began to go to the YMCA 6 days a week and spent no less than 2 hours in the pool working my limbs. I will have been on LDN 2 years as of July 11, 05. I no longer need my mobility scooter at any time or anywhere. I might would need it if I were to try and go to a large amusement park, college or pro sports event or a Nascar race...I haven't done these things since I started LDN so I have not used my mobility scooter in a looooong time and my batteries are dead on the thing. Remember, if you don't use your limbs, you WILL lose the function in them.
