Guest guest
I am curious about this cake, Jenni. Where did you get it from? Why is it in your refrigerator? I checked your challenge and according to what you promised 13 days ago, you can eat the cake if you don't weight yourself, it is " semi healthy, " you bought it yourself, and you didn't get it at a fast food restaurant, LOL! I think your challenge is a tough one. One piece of cake shouldn't hurt you. Eat it for me (especially if it is homemade birthday cake, my favorite). Elena Hahaha, Elena, you're funny. I think my challenge is blown on that small technicality that I didn't buy it myself. Funny how I worded it so that if I " plan " to have it, it is ok. About this cake... well, one of my coworker's son graduated on Sunday so on Friday she was telling me about it and happened to mention that they would have cake so I casually asked her if she planned to save me a piece and she said " of course! " So, since Friday I have been thinking about this cake!! She didn't work yesterday so I had to wait an extra day!! I rarely get desserts like cake, so I couldn't pass it up. I put it in the fridge simply because I like it cold. Thanks for your encouragement but don't worry, I don't feel like a failure at all. I am not upset with myself at all. Like you said, it's just a piece of cake! LOL Jenni Jenni

Way to go, Jan... seems like you enjoy french fries as much as I do so I know it couldn't have been easy. I think my next challenge will be no chocolate. Oddly enough I don't eat very much but I have discovered Kellogg's caramel & chocolate rice crispy bars and oh dear I get completely carried away with those things. Guest guest
I'm out of the challenge as of today and I'm happy about it! We're going to a neighbor's party, for which I had to make brownies (I know, bad choice). Of course, I had to eat the batter, then taste the brownies, then cut off the overcooked ends, ... . I have no regrets. There will be great food there tonight and I want to enjoy myself. I will definitely eat homemade cake if there is any tonight (hey, at least I didn't baKe a cake today!). Tomorrow, I'll restart my 21DC, when the excessive temptation is gone. Elena --- Elena Carroll --- etcarroll@... --- EarthLink: It's your Internet. Elena, I think you made a great decision! I love reading messages like this because it shows that you are in control of your body and know when to allow yourself to indulge That will actually make you succeed in the long run because you didn't deprive yourself of something you really wanted! Instead, you went ahead and gave your permission to eat the things you really wanted to eat and will now get right back on track! Otherwise, you would probably have been miserable trying to resist eating the brownies or cake, etc and would have ended up binging on those things later on! Way to go, Elena! Thanks for reminding us that it's okay to indulge every now and then
