Guest guest
Go to www.ldninfo.org if you haven't already, and it will list near the bottom the compounding pharmacies.. Skip is Dr. Skip and does compounding of the ldn for a lot of us. Welcome aboard. I have two friends here (California) who are investigating ldn for their fibro. Jim (RRMS) Re: [low dose naltrexone] I LOVE MY NEURO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello........my wife and I are new to the list. My wife suffers from severe fibromyalgia. I am a physician. We've tried multiple products for the fibro to no avail. She is much worse now that Vioxx is off the market worldwide. I've just come across this concept of low dose naltrexone. My question is this.......I'm seeing the word "Skip" on the posts frequently. To what does this refer?? Thanks........ Guest guest
Hmmm....per my last...I'm making a leap of faith that Skip IS referring to Dr. Skip Lentz who is located in Boca Raton, Florida. That is where I order from. Jim Re: [low dose naltrexone] I LOVE MY NEURO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! For Fibromyalgia your wife will need the full 4.5mg of LDN with either Lactose, Acidophilus or Avicel as a filler. Stay away from cornstarch and Calcium Carbonate as they've caused trouble many times in the past. Also, type in your search engine " Brownwood Acres Red Tart Cherry Juice Concentrate " . Get your wife either the juice or capsules. Follow the directions on bottle.
Guest guest
Hi , Skip is a compounding pharmacist in Florida. He has been a strong advocate of LDN since he noticed it was working so well for MS and other nero disorders. I have heard of others with fibromyalgia being interested in LDN, but have not heard the stories through. My husband has MS. LDN has been incredible for him. The day after he started he lost his fatigue and worked full days since. His bladder frequency went away soon after. His fine motor skills (holding a screw in place and screwing it in) and his balance (playing basket ball) improved dramatically. He still had depression, which finally went away a few months later with another product. He also still has some numbness and tingling. Best of luck to your wife Aletha [low dose naltrexone] Re: I LOVE MY NEURO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! > >> Hello........my wife and I are new to the list. Guest guest
Hello to all. I am sorry for your wife. I have MS and fibromyalgia, Looking to try the LDN when I go to my neuro on Thurs. I was devastated when I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia in '96, more pain on rop of pain. I was prescribed Ultram and Anaprox back then for the fibromyalgia. On my own I tried Pro Energy from Immune Support, $18.99 for one (180) $13.99 for two or more. Pro Energy is Malic Acid and Magnesium Glycinate, and it really works for me. I was amazed and tell everyone who tells me they have fibromyalgia. All my best, Margie >From: " " <Knittingdoc@...> >Reply-low dose naltrexone ><low dose naltrexone > >Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] I LOVE MY >NEURO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >Date: Mon, 27 Jun 2005 19:30:12 -0700 > >Hello........my wife and I are new to the list. Since I have MS, I can't speak from experience but thought I'd pass this on. This juice is made from mangosteen fruit and is a multi-level marketing item BUT I also found it on ebay. Guest guest
I take their multi vitamin for CFS and Fibro and has malic acid as well as other things in it. I wondered about the Pro Energy but seem to have gotten my energy back from the liquid LDN. Rhonda > Hello to all. Guest guest
Hi Rhonda and everyone. Let me clarify a little, the name of the product is Pro Energy, but I imagine it is just the name for I never did get any energy from the product. However, it did alleviate the fibro pain and allowed me to sleep better. When I orignally researched fibro back then, I discovered that insomnia might be a catalyst for the fibro pain. I guess that the neurological pain did not allow me to sleep, and then the lack of sleep pushed me into the fibromyalgia. The MS neurological pain is totally different, and no pescription drug takes that away. I am looking forward to trying LDN as it just might help me and I am willing to try. I am going to tell my neuro to try it on me, then maybe his other patients as well as others here on the island. Right now I am really homebound because I used to feel motion sickness in a car, but now I feel like dizzy and off balance all of the time. Together with the myriad of other symptoms that worsen when I go to the outside world it is not good. I do consider myself fortunate and blessed though, because I have been worse and there are many others who suffer much more than I do. I pray for all sick and suffering people and animals. Guest guest
I don't think the vitamin I take gives energy either but the liquid LDN sure did! I got pain relief that was horrible all over within the first couple weeks of taking LDN. Hope your pain goes away quick. Goodluck!! Rhonda > > > Hello to all. Guest guest
Hi everyone. I got my prescription for naltrexone from my neuro yesterday. He is great. This was what I told him. I told him that I had a proposal for him for his consideration. I told him about this neurologist in NY who studied at Cornell and and Harvard medical school, who is also a psychiatrist, Dr. Bihari. I am originally from NYC and I mentioned that I had worked one summer at the New York State Psychatric Institute associated with Columbia Univ. where he got Dr. Bihari got his residency in Psychiatry, and how well respected it is. I explained that while treating drug addicts with naltrexone that he noticed that about half of them also had AIDS, and started treating them with low doses as they also were low in beta endorphins. I told him about a friend's daughter that had MS and how he tried the treatment with good results. I then told him, I am willing to be your guinea pig for this treatment and if I get good results, you can use it with other patients. I reminded him that he had once told me years ago that he wished there would be something like Lorenzo's oil for MS, and that maybe this was it. So, he did not hesitate in giving me the prescription. It helps that he is very open minded and that we have had a long term doctor patient relationship. As for side effects I told him none, except for trouble sleeping at first, so he gave me another prescription for Seroquil 25 mg. He told me it is for schizophrenia but is used in low dosages for insomnia. I will be obtaining these prescriptions filled soon and start with the liquid LDN that was so kind to post, thank you and thank you all with your experiences and for the info, I am very grateful. I am looking forward to feeling better with this treatment.
