Hi Dann-

Greetings from an Iowa neighbor. Well, actually Saturday

was my birthday...42nd to be exact. Thank you for the

wishes. I do, however, have a nephew born on the 4th

of July. He is now 14...ready to drive with a permit...whew!

Thank you for the kind words in our meeting last month.

Truly, it was our pleasure to meet you and your Sandy.

It is always comforting to share stories of LBD with others

that 'really know what we are/have felt'.

Also, we have our ropes you made us and will always

cherish them. Not sure if they will be used as they hold

an emotional bond - they sure are special.

Remembering the times I would do almost anything to

make my dad laugh and hearing his laughter through my

heart. Also, feeling honored to have met 's mom

and remembering her gentle soul. There is so many

blessings that have come from having LBD in our lives

and meeting other caregivers is but only one.

Keep on smiling Dann!! If nothing else, Buddy will

wonder what you are up to.... :-))

Hugs from-

Birthday greetings are in order for Santhony? <grins>

Was that the reason for all the fireworks yesterday?

I had the privelege and pleasure of meeting Sandie and

at the Des Moines RenFaire a month ago. It

was super to meet people that have been able to

stand, toe to toe, with LEWY as caregivers, and retain

their smiles.

I know that these days, finding and sharing my smile

with Mom often seems to be best medicine that I can

offer her. A freely given smile becomes especially

important when we are very short on sleep.
