I happened upon this site last night. Does anyone know about this

treatment and this father's research and treatment for his 14 year old

son with autism. It sounds very interesting.

Funny my name is Nora too. This father researched the immnune system

healed his 14 year old son and collaborated with a doctor at Mt.

Sinai/Dr. Weinstock and treated his son with Helminth Therapy (worms

in the intestine)He had wonderful results. This apparently is being

looked at for all kinds of autoimmune diseases. Is this treatment

being tried by anyone in this group? It sounds very logical and not

to dangerous in regards to controlling the immune system responses.

his son was severely autistic and could not be taken out without

complete melt downs. That is all gone at this point. I think this is

one of the most intesting treatments I have read about.

The TSO angle has been going around for a couple of years now but I don't know of anyone that's actually done it.  I remember researching it back then but forgot most of what I found out.  I do remember reading (but I can't remember the details) that it was beneficial in some cases and could be disastrous in others which is why I never went that route.  It wasn't really studied on autistic chiidren but mostly on AIDS, MS and GI issues (like Crohn's).You'll have to do some googling to find out the details.  Maybe things have changed since I last looked into it and maybe they have better studies now?  I don't know.  I don't really have an opinion on it either way.  Still waiting for more info before I can form an opinion. I am new to this all. My grandson has just been diagnosed. This

father worked with a doctor from Mt. Sinai/Dr.

Weinstock and Mr. presented his work with his son to a group

there. Helminth appeared to keep the immune system in check naturally

for his boy. There was an article by this doctor in the New York

Times in June. This father's presentation is on youtube. What are the

dangers? could you expand on that.

If I remember correctly, and I may very well not, sometimes helminths

can get into the bloodstream and lodge into the spleen or even brain,

where big problems can happen such as lymphoma and brain bleeds. Now

I'm not sure how often it occurs, but I've heard it with " whip worms "

as well as tapeworm larvae, if I remember it all correctly.
