Guest guest
I was wondering and I know that this drug just became available in Canada, but I know of a couple of patients with MS taking LDN and also smoking marajanii for sleep problems, pain and also to aid in getting back their appititte. I have just started taking LDN and I have just taken my 10th dosage tonight, I also am on copaxone since Dec of last year ( with steady deteration) thats why I thought to try LDN. And since I have started with the LDN..10 days ago..I have had vast improvement in my balance and walking. Before the LDN I had to use a walker and a wheelchair..now I can acheive walking short distances with my cane, and around my house without any aid. So I have had an improvement I would say about 60% if not more. But I still have pain and am unable to sleep, I have a prescription for the sativex, but my pharmacy said it would contereact with the LDN.. If this is true why is it that my friends on LDN still have seen an improvement while smoking marajanii? Thanks in advance to any replies. Guest guest
Hi Corrine, greetings from the tropics. I am on day 6 of LDN and am very happy to hear about your improvement. It is wonderful. I have not yet felt any improvement but am confident that it is coming. The heat here may be delaying the beneficial LDN effect for me. I told my neuro about the potential side effect of trouble sleeping with DN when he was so kind as to agree to prescribe it for me, he also prescribed seroquel low dosage 25mg. He told me it is for schizophrenia but used for insomnia in low doses. The first night I did not take it, just valerian, and had trouble sleeping. Since then I tried the seoquel alone, had trouble sleeping anyway, and then have alternated the seroquel together with kava or valerian and have slept better. Found it better together w/the valerian. Personally, I think the pharmacist must be mistaken. LDN is contraindicated with opium based drugs If only I could use sativex or mj to help for my pain and for sleeping. By the way, how much is sativex selling for? The levaquel costs about $2.30 per pill. I would not hesitate in using the sativex or the mj for help with my symptoms, help w/pain and sleeping. Unfortunately I do not live in such a progressive and compassionate place as you do. In the meantime, continue improving, and take care, All my best, Margie >From: " Corinne " <tzu4fun@...> >Reply-low dose naltrexone >low dose naltrexone >Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Taking Sativex spray with LDN? >Date: Mon, 11 Jul 2005 06:05:42 -0000 > >I was wondering and I know that this drug just became available in >Canada, but I know of a couple of patients with MS taking LDN and >also smoking marajanii for sleep problems, pain and also to aid in >getting back their appititte. > >I have just started taking LDN and I have just taken my 10th dosage >tonight, I also am on copaxone since Dec of last year ( with steady >deteration) thats why I thought to try LDN. Guest guest
Hi Margie, Thanks for your reply..and yes I am going to try the spray, my pharmasist was suppose to order it, and i guess I am the only one in town here that has the prescription, cause he wanted me to buy the whole box of 4 vials at 540$ (1 vial has 51 sprays @ 160$)cause he wasnt too sure on the return policy with Bayer..I said its a big company..why wouldnt they honor the return policy like their other drugs..he phoned and found out that yes they well accept returns even if they have expired..I just didnt want to shell out that kind of money (because my coverage does not cover it) until I know it works..he said that he was just a small pharmacy and he didnt want to swallow the cost either..so I think I made it through the ol run around..another person I talk to on here is going through the same ordeal..Im thinking that these pharmacys are scared to order the stuff..But I guess my pharmacist learned that people with MS never give up..LOL Yes it is to bad that you can only obtain this in Canada..if it works as good as they say, and it is not doing damage to your lungs from smoking it..you think everyone would get their head out of their a****!! From what I hear from others that smoke it (that have MS and other illnesses) They say it gives them much relief to their symptoms. Me I would rather do it the legal way and not do any more harm to my body..besides I have 3 kids and I will not turn into a pot smoking mom for their sake. I hope that the LDN starts kicking in for you, mind you I think I have reached a plateau with it it seems already..still feel good but not as good as the first week. I too find that the heat still effects me..so maybe you should move to a colder climate ..LOL <just joking..I would love to live in the sun! Take care CorinneYolanda Giraldo <ymgiraldo@...> wrote: Hi Corrine, greetings from the tropics.I am on day 6 of LDN and am very happy to hear about your improvement. Guest guest
I don't think your pharmacist is correct. Cannabis is not an opiate, there should be no problems using this along with LDN. Maybe ask your doc. boo --- Yolanda Giraldo <ymgiraldo@...> wrote: > Hi Corrine, greetings from the tropics. > I am on day 6 of LDN and am very happy to hear about > your improvement.
