Nasal surgery might help alleviate severe migraine headaches for some patients, research suggests.

It seems some migraines are triggered - or exacerbated - by surfaces within the sinuses or nasal cavities pressing against each other.

I don't know if I ever talked about my husband and his migraines. He had sinus surgery which didn't seem to help. He was taking Imitrex injections so often, it was frightening, even sometimes twice in one day. The side effects of Imitrex are scary.

He went to a holistic doc and they do a lot of testing. He told my husband he was allergic to casein (a by-product in all dairy). Even though he basically is on the BBD with me, which eliminates dairy, he did have to have his pizza occasionally. It seemed like everytime he ate pizza, he got a migraine.

Needless to say, we cut that out, but he still would get a migraine, triggered by sinus. A bad pollen day would also trigger them. A friend of his told him about something his sister was using that had stopped her from getting a migraine for over two years. It's called a nasal pot and we bought ours from www.nasalcups.com

He uses it daily and sometimes twice if he works in the yard. He has not had a migraine since April 8. He was getting them sometimes daily, and they put him in bed because they were so bad. He says it is not very nice to clean out the sinuses and all the stuff that comes out, but on the other hand he said he would just about anything if would stop the migraines, which it does.

Thought anybody suffering sinus problems or migraines caused by sinus might be interested in this nasal pot. You just have to use water and sea salt.

Maybe it would help you. Better than opting for surgery and a possibility of relief. At least give it a try. Ours cost less than $25, including shipping.
