Guest guest
Hi there, I'm Terri, just joined the group, and I'm the mom of an autistic child. Tons of us give methylcobalamin shots to our kids. All you need to do is tell your doc to call a prescription in to one of the compounding labs that does mail order and will send the syringes to you. Coastal Compounding 912 354-5188 or Wellness Pharmacy 800 227-2627 are two that I know that do this. We ask for the kind without preservatives, as that gives the kids less artificial junk for their bodies to deal with. Btw, the autism community is just at the very beginning of starting to try LDN in a transdermal form, 3mg/day, for the kids. The very-early results sound quite encouraging. Coastal Compounding is also the pharmacy making the transdermal LDN suspension. Terri mom to Zane, almost 12yo high functioning autistic will be starting LDN with him within a couple weeks At 08:47 PM 6/22/2005, you wrote: every doctor i have asked for injections only has hydrocobalamin not methylcobalamin ( the form that has been shown to help neurological problems). That is why I take sublingual methylcobalim. Many mser's are deficient in B-12 no matter how it breaks down in the body. If you are deficient, you need extra and anyone taking high doses of alpha lipoic acid needs extra b12 and biotin. Article from Life Extension.
