Guest guest
, now bring us up to date on how you are doing. You said doc didn't recognize you, so how much have you lost? Aren't you just soooooo happy about it? Did you see how great Jolene is looking? Did she recognize you? I wish my sil had been doing better. I had to take my brother to the VA yesterday for a bone scan and I have to take him next wednesday for a CT scan and an ultra sound. I am not sure for what yet. He just asked me to take him. I always take him to the VA and he goes to Dr. K with me. Him and his wife have taken care of me and my daughter when I have had surgeries, so when she wanted me to come, I had to. I have taken her to several doctor appts. here in Fresno, but her surgery was in Santa Barbara and I didn't go there. So I felt bad and when she wanted me to come, I went. I did think I was going to get away for awhile, but it was after nine before I left. If I had not had to be in town for an appt. of my own I would have spent the night. I am glad things went as well as they did for you. What happened that doc didn't go? Here they had you all upset for nothing. I thought he wasn't going to be at the meeting. Again, it proved my theory, if I am there he isn't, if he is, I am not. Thats how it has worked out lately. I want to see and hear about that new procedure. Oh well.... I am glad you got things straightened out. Pearl **************Vote for your city's best dining and nightlife. City's Best 2008. Guest guest
Thanks, . I was only quoting Dee's instructions to me to go to bipro.com I appreciate the correction. Guest guest
, I'm so glad that everything worked out for you!!!! See don't sweat the small stuff!!! (I need to follow that myself). Glad to hear that it seems like you won't have to max out your credit cards anymore. I hope that everything works out in the future. XOXO Dani Rev MelodyRos wrote: Wooohooo! After all that stressing out, I did get to see Dr. K. He was at the meeting on Tuesday night, didn't recognize me (LOL), and up to that point I was still going to see Dr. Z. Imagine my surprise, when I arrived at the office, to find out that Dr. K was going to see me. I was elated. Dr. K says I'm in better shape than I think. My numbers (weight, BMI, water percentage, etc.) were all good as well as my labs being good. So, I asked him why I feel so bad most of the time, with chronic gas, nausea, and the runs. So, we went through my eating patterns, and he suggested that I eat only smooshy, saucy foods, even though, plain broiled foods are better for you. He said that he deduced that dry foods tend to increase my nausea and gagging, so to stay away from them. He also told me to stop eating carbs, even though most of them are soft and smooshy, because they are like eating empty calories. Dr. K also said to stay away from fats, which I was doing anyway. He gave me a 90 day prescription for Flagyl and said that if I comply with his dietary guidance, the Flagyl should slow things down. But, if it didn't there are other things that he could prescribe to slow the runs down, since they were impinging on my work schedule. After that, he asked me how my life was in general. I was able to report all the improvements in my health since the DS, and then we talked about my heavy duty schedule with school and work and getting records together for disability. Of course, he has a more taxing schedule than I do, which I acknowledged, and he seemed to understand how challenging things are for busy people. He apologized for not recognizing me until he saw my chart, and with that he was gone. I went to see Dee after meeting with Dr. K, and she suggested that I get BiPro protein. Apparently, Dr. K found this, and it has no taste whatsoever at all, including that protein after taste that makes other whey proteins hard to take. She suggested I get it from www.bipro.com <http://www.bipro.com> and add it to my food program. Apparently, they have lots of recipes on their website, including how to bake bread with the protein powder in it. I also found out that I can telecommute to my next appointment with Dr. K. Dee said that he understood with the gas prices and everything subsequently increasing that a trip to California can cost upward of $1,000 and that Dr. K didn't want a trip to be a hardship for out of towners. So, one can either do their tests at home, have their PCP in communication with Dr. K, and either have a telephone conference or trad emails with Dr. K. This is a God send as I had to max out my credit cards for my original trip to Delano, which I'm still paying for, and for this trip. So, all in all, I feel so much better since I've seen Dr. K and Dee. It meant so much to me to be able to see my healing angels. Have a great day and know that I am praying for you daily.

http://toolbar.Care2.com Make your computer carbon-neutral (free).

http://www.Care2.com Green Living, Human Rights and more - 8 million members! Guest guest
Dani, Yes, I need to learn to have more trust in how God looks after me. I was so pleased to see Dr. K, and my time with him was worth the expense of the trip. But, I will be glad not to have to max out my credit cards. Thanks for all your love and support. Guest guest
, I know what you mean. I have been having to travel to Bakersfield just about every other week and it's costing me around $100 for gas and stuff. Dr. K. is always worth seeing. I would spend my last dime to go see him. However, it's a lot easier to not have to spend that last dime. Again, I'm glad that everything worked out for you and looks like it's going to work out as far as Dr. K. goes in the future. Guest guest
According to doc's scale, I lost 75 lbs since the surgery. I've lost 87 lbs from my highest weight. I've gone from a size 5x-6x to a size 3x soon to be 2x. I will keep your brother and sister in law in my prayers. I hope they are both doing better. I sure missed meeting you in person, but I understand family totally. When someone is good to you, you are good to them back. That's the golden rule, for sure. Lots of love to you, Pearl, < Re: Saw Dr K!!!!!! , now bring us up to date on how you are doing. You said doc didn't recognize you, so how much have you lost? Aren't you just soooooo happy about it?
