Guest guest
Yes Tisha i have had both, everytime my Stills flares up.Pericardis is a sac of fluid around the heart and pleuracy is basically the same thing i think but is usually more painful(was told its because the lungs are inflammed and its caused from not being able to move freely without rubbing together). Some of us here get the Systematic(organs involved)along with the joint pains ect.The pleuracy can also make breathing very difficult,i hope it goes away for you soon take care. d.Canada pleurisy, pericarditis anyone had this/?Visit the Still's Disease Message Boardhttp://disc.server.com/Indices/148599.htmlThe materials and information contained in this message are not intended to replace the services of a trained health professional or to be a substitute for medical advice of physicians and/or other health care professionals. Guest guest
Unfortunatly i usually have my prednisone increased, but it has never been as bad as it was with disease onset. The pleuaracy was bad enough they had me on oxygen in the hospital(just a little to assist my breathing). It took quite a while for the lungs to become somewhat normal again for months after being released from the hospital i coild only walk few blocks then have to stop and catch my breath. So as for a quik fix there probally isnt one, unfortunatly.I did read up on some kind of surgury for the Pericardis though but cant remember the name of the procedure (they remove the sac which is acually the cause since it fills up with fluid)pretty radical i would see if they cant get the inflammation under control first EH!!!! Take care d.Canada pleurisy, pericarditis anyone had this/?Visit the Still's Disease Message Boardhttp://disc.server.com/Indices/148599.htmlThe materials and information contained in this message are not intended to replace the services of a trained health professional or to be a substitute for medical advice of physicians and/or other health care professionals.
