Guest guest
that would be of a hard things to teach because she would have of to be of able to read of intent and if she cant read of it she cant see of the danger of it/ it is of also hard to teach of it because it can also trigger a strong fear if not teached correctly/ but also she is of young yet and so will need more time and experienes before she can actually learn of the reality of stranger pets. One of my favorite animal shoes is of the dog whisperer/ as i to feel cesar has of very good understand of animals but it can also be of applied to those with autism as in the areas of energies one sends off can also be of sensed by us and can cause some on the spectrum to react to that energy . but if parents and teachers reflect a calm and balanced energy we can feel calm and more centered to learn// not saying that we with autism are of like animals but that we can be of hyper reactive to other peoples emotional states/even if we do not know of the names of them. but if we are of expected to read of the face of things for emotional states many of us will fail in that. it maybe that you will need to find out if ever you daughter has seemed to sense or hyper react to an emotional state and see if there was of any clue as to what she was of focusing on that caused of her to read so to speak of that emotional state.... and by this you might be of able to teach from that perspective. so like if you note that she seems to respond to a tone of voice that is of more loud and direct then you can let of her know that dogs cant speak but their barks can mean stop by the tone of the voice such as the loud bark the teeth showing, the tail up and teach of her the body langauge sorts of things that indicate of emotions so that she can learn of it/ I to teached of my missy this in little steps of teaching but over time she now knows to ask the owner before petting a strange dog walking on the side walk. and she also knows to approach slowly and with the back side of her hand extended to allow the dog to sniff before petting the dog and watching the language of the dog to assure she is calm and the dog is of calm. sondra
Guest guest
That was great words of wisdom! You are correct about the energy one sends off and it can be felt by others, especially ones w/ autism. I am very intense, very excited (and not in a good way) w/ my son. He's a handful right now and not getting any easier as he gets older. I'm sure he's feeding off my vibes like a fiddle. I wish I knew how to relax. I can't. My daughter is much easier. I'm in a much better frame of mind. Very good idea on your part. I love the Dog Whisperer. Thank you so much! Guest guest
Amy since you are of aware of you energy being of too high you might want of to try for self some sorts of yoga and or pilates to help learn of to calm self and gain of more control of the emotional states that you are of sending off to him because it is of a tennis court things you bounce off singals and he responds and hims response signals to you to react and the cycle just keeps of going back and forth. sondra
