Dr. Bihari and Dr. Bob Lawrence both clearly state that LDN and steroids are not compatible. You need to give LDN full opportunity to do its job and not be dulled by steroids. If you are continuing to get worse then steroids would be a temporary fix, maybe.
Guest guest
Unless your symptoms are life threatening, I would never take steroids ever again. The side effects are far worse than any benefits. Bone loss, skin thinning, digestion problems, mood swings, just to name a few. They screw up your whole system. Just my opinion, but if you are taking copaxone and still steroids that often, the copaxone I would say is not even helping you. Do your body a favour and stop them both. If the LDN is working so well stick with it. There are virtually no risks and all the benefits you've been experiencing. I was on copaxone for 1 year and still progressed, had 1 week of oral and i.v. steroids and no improvement (just left me feeling miserable all over, inside and out). My doc then put me on betaseron and after 8 mos. of still progressing, I told her I wanted to go off. While she wasn't in favor she did support my decision. I've maybe progressed but all the long-term side effects of those drugs out weighed any possible help they were doing me. MS is enough to deal with. Liver damage and more rapid bone loss I didn't need. Steroids in my opinion are an archaic form of medicine that should have gone out with the " Dark Ages " . Its sad that, that is all our medical community has to offer after all the years and money gone into research of this disease. Hope the LDN continues to help you and do wish you much improvement in your health. Kathy H Diet, LDN, supplements, exercise is the way to go.
