Is this what yours is like? I take fish oil caps which are anti-infammatory. Some days are worse than others. I also heard using cod liver oil topically helps. Since I take fish oil for the summer, (cod liver oil has vit d), I tried opening a capsule and rubbing the oil on, it seemed to help almost immediately. Only problem is the fishy smell - don't use it if you're going to be around others. LOL Arlene

Any experience with that? Cyd I would try it. Even if it doesn't do anything for you topically, it would be good to take orally. If you try it, let us know the outcome. Carlson's cod liver oil is lemon flavored, that might not be as bad. It is one of the better ones also. Good luck Arlene

Nothing but exposing the limb to cold water has ever done anything and sometimes the cold water doesn't help. LDN doesn't seem to help that in the early going but now after almost two years on LDN the burning in my feet come and go. The cold water is only about an hour or two fix when it works. LOL Arlene <<< You mean the fish oil might help the burning in my feet??? *!* I also have a spasm/burning that creeps around my back right rib cage, and no matter how much I try to stretch or rub, it still feels more like a burning than a cramp. I wonder if I could just get a bottle of cod liver oil and wear it at night? Any experience with that? The Neurontin seems to help my spasms and pain more than that specific burning that we get. I'm wondering also if you build up a tolerance to Neurontin. I know I'm taking more than I did when I first started it in order to get the same effects. ~ cyd
Guest guest
I had to quit a very good job that I really loved as the burning wouldn't let me concentrate on my job! But my dear wife found a Massage oil called "Hempola" which when rubbed on immediately quenched the fire. After just two weeks on LDN my Nueropathic pain left for good (I hope) This just goes to prove that we are all different, and we should never give up trying stuff. Guest guest
a burning leg is called neuropathy and alpha lipoic acid has been shown to help peripheral neuropathies.you need 1200mg a day. it is definitely worth trying because they have done studies that it reduces lesion activity in the spinal cord. there is enough research on this substance, everyone with ms should seriously consider trying it for a good 6 months. kathy [low dose naltrexone] Re: Burning Leg > I have had MS for 13 years (that I am aware of).
