Guest guest
Ok, I didn't stop... my fingers just went on into 11:50am.... Larry J. Frieders The Compounder, Terry Manolas & Victor Falah from Irmat's here in NY, and Dr. Skip Lenz from Florida. I don't have much to say about their presentations. You'll just have to wait for the video! Let's not fight over fillers, just switch to avicel unless otherwise demanded. LOL I applaud the efforts of Larry, Terry and Victor. Those 2 words again, Totally Awesome job. Nothing impresses me more than people "doing a job" that they obviously LOVE doing. And a 'job' that directly impacts people's lives. If not for our compounders, WHERE would most of us be? I give a lot of credit to those who make their own doses, but unless some company puts you all out of business by mass producing 3.0 and 4.5 tablets, known reputable and involved pharmacists is just too much for words. You people, in your field, are not people that I have ever interacted with before LDN. Before LDN I would just bring my prescription in to the local CVS, some clerk takes the script, and the same or another takes my copay and gives me the medicine. I learned a lot about MS and the body before LDN, but with LDN I've learned so much more. And many barriers have been crossed. You're now no longer the men in the white coats mostly out of view. Nothing but admiration and gratitude for what you all do for all of us. Thank you. Now Skip... Well... I was impressed in April 2003 when we talked on the phone and you eased my fears, talked to me about LDN when all I knew was what I read on the website, what I heard from the VERY few people taking it, and at that point, all I knew is I had a prescription in my hand and NO CLUE what to do with it. But you still were just a voice on the phone, and a box with an invoice and a bottle of pills a few days later. Meeting you in January 2004 and seeing just what went into getting me my medicine, that really changed things. I had to drive 1200 miles to actually Meet and talk with a pharmacist... and see how medicine, my medicine, is compounded. Of course, you know the first thing I looked at were your plaques on the wall. Wow. It was an honor to see compounding in action. And now the conference. Great presentation, excellent charts. Passion, love, and, I think, the highest virtue of them all, sense of humor. I don't know when I'll be there, but if/when I hit Fla, Boca will always be on my itinerary. Thank you all for providing a support that I really don't think any of you HAVE to. You can just take our scripts and fill them, but it's clear, there has to be a bigger driving force. I don't think any of us can thank all of you enough. It's just not possible, so you'll just have to accept all of our Blessings and we hope we'll all be involved with you all, and LDN, for a long time. Truly great to meet and chat with the people behind the scenes and now it's Lunch Time, except for those who went to the Brown Bag Lunch session.... but for me, definitely bed time... it's now 3:30am.. time flies.... to be continued.... Guest guest
Dear Larry, Gee, you must be very tired! I couldnlt go to the conference so Ihave been reading all of your conference experiences. I live on the west coast, Tucson to be exact. How many people are taking LDN out here? I ask because I understand why the need for the conference next year in Washington, D.C.....but education on LDN is desperately needed on the west coast. Have you (et al) considered something out here? For instance, we have Dr. Weill out here and his group. I would be happy to help in any way. Guest guest
Larry, I second the comment to bring it out here to California. The bigest share of the neuros don't kmow a thing about it. When I brought it up to my neuro, he just said there hasn't been studies published and that he would not prescribe an unknown substance to one of his patiences. I am now trying to get my gp to prescribe it for me. Guest guest
I got a good night's sleep last night, then spent the day shopping with the family. I'm sure if you wanted to hold your own conference out on the West Coast, you could see what you can arrange. Personally, I try not to go anywhere I can't drive to. But it sounds like a great idea for someone to put together out there. Guest guest
Dear Larry, I, fortunatey, have a nuerologist here in Tucson that provides my script. I get my LDN at Irmat. I would like to get my meds in Tucson however. I would have loveg to come to the conference, but I am phyiscally unable to go to the gate, get on the airplane, fly six hours to a city I do not know, let alone get to the building where the conference was. Then, of course how long would/could I last at the conference? But that's part of the problem. We're all healing, we all want to help further LDN research, and we are limited by what we can do physically. Are there any opportunities available to bring educational seminars to Doctors and pharmacologists on the west coast?
