Guest guest
Jac has been cleared to travel so we are flying out of LAX to New Orleans tomorrow morning. I'll miss the cool dry weather.. my sister says the humidity is back with avengence. i did indeed meet Marta's DD and heartily approve. How special was that trip! Enjoyed several meals at in and out burgers, dinner with Pat and Jo, and a great meal at Toro Fusion Grill on Ming and Camino Media. I do get around Bakersfield quite well if I say so myself. Jac has been very diligent in overcoming his post-op dehydration that was the cause of our extra days out here. I give thanks to Dee, DrK and DrZ for all the attention and care they gave him during his DS revision to a proper DS. See ya'll next year. Glad Jac is doing better and you get to leave. Toro is becoming my new favorite...I really like their lobster roll! It's heaven! Wish I could have spent more time with you. (And we saved over $1000 in car repairs by having our brakes fixed there in Bakersfield.) We had a nice trip, even though my appointment with Dr. K. was moved to July. We got to meet Charlie's parents and watch him graduate from Cordova High. He was in the top 10% of his class. Not bad for a kid that started out as an exchange student and had the luck and good fortune to have dual citizenship so he could stay here and finish high school. He's going to Cal State Irvine this fall. Of course, it took us two days to get from Prescott to Delano and Sacramento, then a day in Sacto, then two days driving to get back home, so I'm only about 200 messages behind on the list. Add to that a bout with kidney stones while traveling and the only high points of the trip were lunch with you, meeting Charlie's parents, and watching Charlie graduate.
