Hi Kathie,

Thank you for documenting what you are experimenting with on behalf of your husband. I doubt mom's HMO "Kaiser" does anything related to Glutathione. I am interested and will search for more information on Glutathione.

Just this morning I've been given a local number of a Parkinson's support group that is following alternative treatments. It may be the right group to share or to solicit data regarding both LDN and Glutathione.

Thank you very much for sharing your experience with me. It helps me affirm that I am on the track I want to be on at this time on behalf of my mom.

Best To You,

Terry A.

Terry,

My husband has been on glutathione for his Parkinson's too, although not with the dramatic results of Althea's mom, but I do think that it keeps him at a higher level of functioning. Last summer, we were taking a 3 hour round trip once a week for chelation and a glutathione IV (both quick pushes, not couple hour IV drips). When we decided it was just too far to keep up the weekly trip, we started looking for a doctor who would prescribe the glutathione so I could give it to Rick at home. By the time we found one and had the first appointment 3 months later, Rick had declined noticeably and so had decided to start trying some Parkinson's medications. We did start the glutathione IV's at home about the same time--initially 3 times a week and lately about once a week at 2000 mg per dose. It is quite expensive--about $30 a dose with all the supplies and our insurance will not cover it, just as it won't cover LDN because it's not an approved practice yet as there have been not clinical trials. It cost around $75 at the doctor's office for a 1400mg dose.

Dear Aletha,Thank you very much for sharing about "Kathie"/Margie. I too was totally baffled by the coincidence of Kathie vs. Kathie. Thanks for clarifying AND I am prone to do worse than that on my misnomers.I am very interested in what you revealed about your mom's experience. I'm totally naive about glutethione. I am glad for your mom and the positive result she has achieved. I wonder if others with Parkinson's have had similar positive results with glutethione.Thank you once again for writing and sharing.Best Wishes,Terry A.
