If you do possibly have lyme note that steroids will only make the lyme worse. Find a doctor willing to run a Western Blot on you, like your GP. You are one that had a brand new symptom develop after being on LDN for a good while and that immediately made me think a possibility of lyme. Get lyme ruled out so you'll know what your next move needs to be.
Guest guest
Cinders, I don't think this will make a difference but it just might, try reducing your LDN dose to 3.0mg and see if possibly the 4.5mg might be too strong for you.
Guest guest
Hi Cinders .. In times of relapse Dr Bihari recommends staying on the LDN during steroids. Although on paper they work against each other he told me last November (unless the thinking has changed) .. that in practice they help eachother under stress. I am sorry that you are progressing on LDN. That wasn't really covered at the conference. It was mentioned in most surveys that a very low percentage of people (something about that group differs) do progress but no explanation was given as to why .. probably because it is not known why it works for so many but not everyone .. The obvious knee jerk that is insulting to many is to make sure your script is from a listed compounder or change your filler .. I don't know .. it really sucks that it does not seem to halt progression universally .. and all surveys are a little different with regard to the number of people who still progress .. Another reason we need clinical trials .. All the Best > I've been on 4.5 mg of LDN for about 17 months. Guest guest
Thank you . That was exactly the kind of answer I needed to see - a clear direction from someone like you who actually got it from " the horse's mouth " so to speak.
