I have had MS since 1967, I was 15 and am now going on 53, so I have had MS approximately 38 yrs. If LDN is going to work does it always work real fast from the beginning or can it take longer for some people? I'm hearing such wonderful results for others seemingly right from the very start. Should I hang in there for awhile since I've had the MS for so long??? Some educated opinions, please. And btw, I do not have Lyme disease. Guest guest
Well, Naltrexone is the generic form of Revia. It is used for drug and alchol dependency at larger doses. In my own experience alcohol will block the effectiveness of LDN. Some pain medications and cough syrup with narcotics will cause negative to serious problems when used in conjunction with LDN. I can name a few if you would like. MSG seems to have a negative enhancement to LDN. This again is my experience, I am very sensitive to chemicals, medications, supplements. LDN causes constipation, insomia, depression and terrible leg spasms for me....this doesn't mean this will happen to anyone else. The positives are greater than the negatives for me, and I will continue LDN therapy. [low dose naltrexone] Re: Foods or Supplements that might work againsst LDN > Have you tried DL Phenylalanie? Guest guest
It would seem that those that have had MLS longer, take longer for results (just an observation). Also those that have been recently taking immune suppressants seem to take longer for results. I would hang in there. Dr. Bihari says something to the effect of 6-9 months to wait and see. Remember the most important aspect is to stop progression, then it is the symptom relief. Our hearts are with you. Hoping that you will see symptom relief soon.
