palm pilot m105/windows 7?

Hello, I have not been on for a while.My device has been idle for a couple

years. I want to start using it again but but when I hotsync to windows 7, I get

an error saying the process has been interrupted, and a message saying certain

files could not be read.I have tried running it in compatibility mode for xp

service packs 2 and 3 {the only 2 xp options available} as well with no success.

Windowa xp was my previous OS.

Does anyone know I can fix this. If not do I need a different handheld device?

Which I really cant afford.
