Guest guest
, I am trying also to get CLASS/Medicaid to pay for ABA. I also tried to get some out of home respite. While that is in my son's plan, we can't find any place decent to send my son. We waited soo long for CLASS and it has been totally useless to us. (Except that Medicaid does pay for medications.) And the attendants we have gotten are terrible! I would like to strategize with someone about how we can get the services our kids need. My son is 13 so the new HB 1919 won't really apply to him. I wonder if Brent Woodall could help us with this. Thanks1 <<WOW....that is news to me. As ECI was the most useless thing we got. Guest guest
What funds are used to pay for ECI? Does it come from some branch of Medicaid? If so, I would think it would be easier to get Medicaid to cover it. > > , > I am trying also to get CLASS/Medicaid to pay for ABA. I also tried to get some out of home respite. Guest guest
We were not aware that ECI could pay for ABA when our son was on ECI eventhough his therapists were great he was not getting anything close to the hours recomended for early intervention and since time is precious and the window of oportunity so small we had to get private ABA therapy on our own. With the ABA therapy under Dr. Sahahla Alai les from UNT our son has come such a long way. He is improving every day and sometimes he really surprises us on how much better he is doing, he is such a sweet bow. He just turned three so we hope we can get some coverage through HB1919. But with it or with out we will continue the therapy he needs and deserves.
