The first week I noticed the numbness in my fingers and feet decreasing, but since then I notice the spasticity in my legs is getting worse and they feel generally weaker. I feel like they're going to give out under me. I'm SPMS for about 5 yrs. and have never been on any of the ABC drugs, have been going it alone. I read about LDN and it sounded promising. My GP signed on and said we could give it a try. The way I'm feeling I feel like quitting, but I don't want to be premature. The adverse symptoms on LDN take place usually during the 1st 3 months on LDN. If the stiffness persists drop to 1.5mg for 4 months then up to 2.0mg for several months and so forth. You may even want to try the liquid version of LDN without any filler. The stiffness in the calves of my legs lasted several weeks. I stretched my calves on the handicapped swimming pool ladder in the water on th bottom step at the YMCA. You might try taking milk thistle with your nightly LDN dose. Also, if you are ambulatory find someplace that has a porch or stair step with handrails to hold on to and put your toes on the step and drop your heels toward the floor or ground stretching your calf muscles several times daily. Stopping LDN before 8 or 9 months is up is way too premature. Chronic Progressive MS from 1989 to July 2003. Started 4.5mg LDN July 2003, no progression since.
