Through our local Department of Disabilities, my H and I were both able to

become licensed providers for disabled medic aid recipients. Our daughters

fiance has a class 9 IO waiver which entitles him to up to 90 grand in provider

care billing per calendar year. We are able to bill for any travel time and our

supervision of him when he is with our daughter and their baby. The license

would permit you to bill medicaid for providing day care for other autistic

children in your area. Actually, the needs of disabled individual are unlimited.

In order to provide billing, you only need to have the weeks billing signed by

the individual or their representative stating that you have provided care.

Checks are sent out every two weeks. When things are calm enough around here, I

have billed for 40 hour weeks. I provide care for him as much as I can while I

am caring for my two. Your hourly rate would depend upon who you decide to take

as clients. It ranges from 8

dollars to 16.00 depending on the client and the service provided. Getting the

license involved a 25 dollar back ground fee and three evenings of 4 hour

classes. Hope this helps.
