Hi ,

Oh, my daughter yes, too, is in many ways like yours. We have

struggled very much with her placement, because he speech *can* seem

normal (and the SD has tested it as normal) but its really quite

delayed-long story, but its a mess. She carries dyspraxia (forst dx),

PDD-NOS, anxiety, and learning difference diagnoses and then this last

week we got back the results of chromosomal testing that our

developmental pediatrician asded us to do - she has a trisomy on her

16th chromosome at band 13.11, short arm. Which *may* explain a lot of

her differences (she has some anatomical differences, too).

Anyway. Our daughter has been *mostly* thriving in a mainstreamed

class at a small public alternative school with a " child led " and

" social " curriculum - she goes to resource for reading, OT, and now

adaptive PE as pull-outs. Now in 4th grade though, it is getting a lot

harder and we are visiting the relevant special day class next week to

see if we should consider it.

I don't know - its almost all boys, and almost all much more showing

the classic autism profile than Rose. I will be so interested to see

what others have done. I wish we could home school.

Best to you.

Larissa
