Guest guest
Did anyone see the tv review on Inside edition covering Pryor and his MS? They mentioned he was using an electrical machine each day and showed it in the background. I was wondering what it was called. -- DeLo
Guest guest
There are a number of TENS units in use for MS and cancer as well as hundreds of other infirmities. I personally use a unit built by Resonant Light Technologies of Vancouver, BC for cancer and pain control. I frankly would not be without it. How much it has added to helping with my terminal cancer, I cannot say, but I have absolutely no pain anywhere which is something I have lived with for several decades due to broken bones, dislocated joints, etc… from a misspent youth. Take a look on my website, http://www.survivecancer.net under “supplements” and get a rundown of what it is along with contact information. Guest guest
I don't want to rock the boat when I say this as we are all so different in what helps our conditions. however, the tens unit or anything electrical causes pins and needles in my body!!!! it has happened time and time again. first with this silly abdominal device that you used to create a six pack ha ha!! I am embarrassed to say I bought it but it was money back guaranteed and I wanted Gwen Stephan stomach!! then the tens unit has done the same thing on three different occasions. my body does not like that kind of stimulation. it throws my electrical field out of balance. I am only mentioning this in case someone has tried it and it seemed to exacerbate your condition. it probably isn't just " in your head " its your cns reacting. Guest guest
Kathy, I agree that every person is unique. That is one of the great problems in the medical community today. Medicine has become very, very big business and as such, many (not all) doctors tend to treat illness types by statistical averaging. If it works for the majority, it must be right. The average time in a doctor's office is 1 hr. 43 minutes. The average time, face to face, one on one with the doctor is 11 minutes. It is hard to be treated as an individual with unique problems in an 11 minute window. Depending on the type of TENS unit you have tried, some make contact and some do not. Those that make contact can and quite usually do have a " stinging " sensation accompanying their use be3cause they are indeed disrupting the normal electrical impulses in your body's nervous system. The unit I use from Resonant Light Technology is not a contact unit. I do not know of anyone who has had that type of experience with it to date. I can personally vouch that it does not do that to me or my wife. There are noticeable points during a regimen where the sound waves trigger responses, but neither my wife nor I have yet to not see benefit from its use.
