Hi Everyone,

I am writing to tell my 18 month story. I was having a major exaserbation that had me going from a cane to a walker to going to get a wheelchair.

I came across the www.low dose naltrexone.org site. It sounded very promising so I took the info to my GP. He knows I hate doing pills so he agreed and prescribe the 50mg pill. I tried cutting it into 8 pieces but couldn't. So I took 25mg of Naltrexone in the morning.

I was the same that day. But the next morning I got out of bed and walked to the washroom without my cane or walker. I couldn't believe it and figured it was just because I wasn't quite awake yet. It was 6:30 am and I always slept till 12:00. Then I noticed I wasn't tired any more so I had shower and got dressed. I didn't have as much pain anymore. It was 98% gone and the 2% could be taken care of with asprin. It stopped the exaserbation faster than Solumedrol did because I had just done it and it didn't work!

I stayed up that day until 11:30 pm with no naps. This is how my days are now. I wake up between 6:30 - 8:00am and can stay awake all day still. During my exaserbation I had to quit cooking because I couldn't remember turning on the stove. Now I can cook again! My grandson wass born 1 week before I started LDN and I was afraid to hold him for fear of dropping him. Now I can hold him and chase him. It has made life worth living again. My head was buzzing too much from neurons refiring that I couldn't take it anymore. I found a compounding pharmacy, which Windsor only has 1, and started taking 4.5mg and that is the dose I stayed at. I can walk unassisted and only use a cane at night becase of Optic Neuritis.

Well that is my story. Sorry it was so long but figured I had better share it with every one.

Hope all is well,
