Guest guest
Hi , Are you trying diet to combat your symptoms at best, or slowing the progression at worst.? I am convinced that following the McDougal diet for 5 years,[gluten free, sugar free and dairy product free] then , after hearing about the Best Bet Diet[bBD] a year ago[ exactly the same diet as R McD but now avoiding legumes].has halted my progression. My neuro has agreed that my SPMS has now stabilised, but of course does not share my conviction that it is the diet.[ I have only been on LDN since January 05 so I cannot claim that LDN has done the trick] Visit these websites re; diet www.ms-diet.org www.direct-ms.org www.ms-diet.net www.paleodiet.com ms-diet [for the followers of the diet to make posts] If you can get the R McD booklet 'My fight against MS' and the Jan De Vries book'Control MS' in which the text of a lecture given to a group of Doctors by R Mc is recounted, all very powerful and heartening reading. My left hand became very weak a couple of years ago but it has not progressed and this last year has shown great improvement and on the basis of 'the last to go the first to recover' I'm now hoping that my legs may show some improvement. I f you have not gone down the diet route then I think you owe it to yourself to do so. Hope I may have been of some help. Regards, .
