I've heard this is a reputable practice for people with Parkinson's but I

haven't heard anything about autism.

Subject: neuromodulation and deep brain

stimulation

I to just readed a new research of this neuromodulation and deep brain

stimultion being of done by a Dr. Ali Rezai at The Ohio State University. It

is of a surgically implanted device that intervenes/regulates with abnormal

electrical activity.

It is of being explored for research in the areas of parkinsons, chronic

pain, and psychiatric disorders, as well as seizures and autism///

while not supporting or promoting , but just sharing it makes of me wonder

if this device might be of helpful for some with more significant autism and

self injurous behaviors and severe OCD like issues as well as the seizure

disorders sometimes those with autism have/

anyone hear or know of this research? It was of released in the winter 2010

magazine from OSU medical center
