Tom,

I did think about hand controls in the beginning. They are cost effective and people have said that they are simple to use. Unfortunately, at this time I can’t drive because my eyes are bad.

When my vision was distorted, I just knew I could not drive under any circumstances also. I couldn't guage distance at all. Now that my vision has corrected itself, it's better! I do believe that 30mg per day of Pregnenolone has helped in that respect. After 6 months on it, my vision returned to normal. I still take it. Always will. I use hand controls, and they were much easier to get used to than I imagined.

I will be going in June to see an ophthalmologist and am hoping to hear good things

Most likely, he will suggest steroids. That's about all that they know to do. My Opthamologist steered me away from them the third round of Optic Neuritis because he said they didn't know long term effects. I was thankful for the honesty. He also told me my vision would most likely never return. The Pregnenolone is what I think has caused vision to return. Another doc recommended that.

Lutien and Bilberry are supplements for the eyes, inexpensive at a health food store. Hope it may help.

I have some pregnenolone.

I can bring it next week to our support group...here in Columbus, Ohio...

the most open minded progressive MS support group in all of central Ohio....

As you may know, I am the facilitator.

when i had blurred vision i took 3x3 bilberry and in a few days it was gone. coincidence maybe but i don't think so. it is an antioxidant so it can't hurt you either way. you need to take alot of them though. on the back of the bottle it is a maintenance dosage. not a dosage for someone who is trying to correct a problem. try to keep that in mind with many of the herbs along with reading that too much can't hurt you. hope it helps scott, kathy
