Guest guest
HI My daughter has this problem. She urinates quite frequently and we have never been able to determine a cause. She has had an ultrasound ( showed no structural abnormalities) and you don't need a catheter for that. What she hasn't had is some sort of dye test where they inject dye into her bladder .....the Urologist and I know that will not be possible for her. Her diagnosis has been " bladder spasms " but I think it's because they don't know what else to call it. We have tried Ditropan and the like over the years with little change. A note about period: my daughter definitely has an increased need to urinate before and just after the start of her period. In fact she had an accident the day before her last period started. It makes sense to me, the pressure of a full uterus and an impending period. I really think my daughter doesn't get the " signals " ....so doesn't empty completely, ever, and then has to keep going. But that's based on my observation and knowing her, she can't tell me anything like that. Melinda
