Leigh,

I hope the cortisone works!

Sara

I'm going tomorrow for a

cortasone injection. If this works, surgery won't be necessary, but

if it doesn't help, I'll be having surgery soon:(

Hey, Leigh. Sorry you didn't get good news from the dr. Give the cortisone

shot a chance- I hope it works for you.

Hang in there!

My doctor called today with my results from the MRI. I have partial

torn menicus plus some worn down cartilatge. I'm going tomorrow for a

cortasone injection. If this works, surgery won't be necessary, but

if it doesn't help, I'll be having surgery soon:(

Thanks Sara,

I plan on getting a look at those films tomorrow. I want to see them

before he actually drills a needle in my knee:(((((

I believe this is a temporary solution anyway. It will work only as long as

it can control the pain. But the damage will continue to be occuring to the

tissues if they are not cared for as necessary. Have youbeen given physical

therapy and a healing plan? If not, that needs to become a priority at this

point.

Leigh,

I agree with Kelley, the cortisone is only a " band-aid " solution.

BTW, having looked at countless MRI films over the years, I can tell

you that you probably won't have a clue what you are looking at if

you ask to see them. LOL No offense meant, but I sure as heck didn't

have any clue what I was looking at the first time. ;)

Surgery on the knee is really not bad anymore. Recovery is fairly

fast, and you will be back to your workouts in no time at all! Hope

you find the answers you are looking for.

*hugs*

I do actually have an appt for a PT over in GulfBreeze. The injection

is only temporary, yes, but it might be a good thing. I'm willing to

try anything right now. Surgery is the last thing on my mind. He

also refered me to a few other doctors if I wanted to get a second

opinion, but I've already gotten those lined up for myself:) Like I

said in my previous post, there was some of the picture that he

couldn't see, so he may have to go in with a scope to get a full

picture of it. He told me, surgery is a last resort thing for him,

but if that's what it takes, we would do it, only and only if, of

course, I want it:)

thanks Kelley:)

Thanks Jen:)

I totally agree with both of you here:) I NEEDed that band-aid

solution right now. The pain was so bad that I couldn't even finish

my workouts and I was only riding a bike! Not even BFL style:)

that's sad but true. Hopefully this will work for the time being and

I can get on with my life:)
