Guest guest
Hello All, I decided to get into this group because , we are getting our first Jersey heifer tommorrow ,and are excited about having our own raw milk, and learning how to make dairy products. We moved to No Arkansas from the big city life ,after my DW 's Mom passed away . We couldn't help but notice the clean air, water, and beautiful wildlife. Its so different living with a rural lifestyle ,and we recommend to all-there is so many advantages, whether retirement age , raising a family.or Single, you will find a fulfilling ,less stressful ,but still challenging-just in a different direction. We are much healthier since we moved here, less colds, and generally getting stronger every day, as far as allergies , we still have some but no more than we had in our past city life.Havng Tasted homestead fresh milk, that a friend brought us to make delicous butter in our bread maker has brought us to this point of raising our own milk cow . We realise there is a huge responsibilty to our farmstead cows and to whom ever we share our milk products with. There is serious disease that can be prevented first , by keeping up on cleanliness of cows living areas, and everything connected with food production, and the more we learn , the more we respect Milk producers-especially Raw Milk producers-this is not an easy job- you have to really love this work and your customer or folks you share with . We hope to learn from this wonderful group, and will enjoy topics covered here.Best Wishes, and enjoy your vitamin D. AJ and Edison told his friends Henry Ford and Harvey Firestone: “I’d put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don’t have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that.” 1931--http://www.roofray.com/calculator
