Guest guest
I posted the other day about my success with gluten free/allergy free/yeast free/egg free baking, and quite a few have asked for recipes. I have a busy weekend, but will post some recipes when I get a moment. The kefir is great for a yeast substitute! =NC
Guest guest
The kefir is great for a yeast substitute! > =NC >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> I tried to keep some kefir going a year ago for a while but finally gave up. I couldn't use it fast enough to keep putting it in fresh milk every day or two. I'd find myself putting it in the fridge for several days to slow it down but it was still getting out of hand. I'd love to try it as a yeast substitute though. Where did you get your starter grains? Mine came from a lady who brought her's with her from Poland. She keeps some in the freezer. I should have done that, too. We have both raw goat and raw cow milk to use.
