i couldn't tolerate 4.5 but i think i am an exception. perhaps my endorphins are higher than some- i don't really know. maybe my immune system did not need as much regulation. i can tell you it was very unpleasant. insomnia, heart palpitations and depression for two days after. i tried it 2 nights consecutively. i just felt my body was telling me this dosage did not agree with me. i am a happy person and couldn't handle that dark feeling. it was unlike any emotion i had ever experienced in its intensity. however, many others have had wonderful results!! good luck to you. kathy

Kathy, thanks for your insight into the dosages.

I am newly diagnosed with MS and have not yet started LDN but have an appt on Wednesday of this week to discuss it with my doctor (not my neuro)..my regular doctor.

He seems interested in exploring this along with me.

Does anyone else have suggestions for dosages for a 55 year old woman who is ultimately HAPPY and upbeat with very few symptoms...(only some right leg tingling, left and right arm neuropathy but NO anxiety, no depression, no vision problems, no fatigue. Only an occasional painful muscle spasm in my right inner knee. ) Very few symptoms considering 7 areas of demyelination.

Would I want to start, perhaps on 3 mg each night? Maybe lower, even?

Thanks for any help on this.

i am not trying to hog the chatroom but this is my last reply for the evening. i believe in being conservative especially since you seem to have a benign course at this time . when i started out i took 1.5 from skips for a month and then progressed to 3.o. slept like a baby , had wonderful results. i would rather be ultra cautious and have a good experience then delve gun-ho into something a little controversial. we know it is good for us but you want this to be a pleasant experience and not stay up the entire night especially if you work the next day. anyway, i had too much coffee and am being chatty kathy. best regards on the path you take.

Hi Kathy,

Have you tried DL-Phenylalanine? It took my husband right out of his 8 month depression. He had such a good feeling of well being afterward. Maybe it does not work for everyone, but it was just the ticket for him.

Kathy, I believe that about 25% of Dr. Bihari's MS patients have a

problem with the 4.5 dosage, especially those people who've experienced

spasticity.
