I regret that I am unable to respond to questions regarding the effectiveness of cheaper copies of the Sun Ancon Chi Machine as I have no experience of them, I can only report my experience with the Sun Ancon: (Which I did previously). However, here is a little further info on the Chi Machine mostly sourced from Sun Ancon: Originally I chose the Sun Ancon because it was the one that I was introduced to by someone else with MS: At that time, I was not aware that apparently similar but cheaper products were also available. There are a few points that might be worth considering: The Sun Ancon was the original product & it is patented. As I understand it, this means that certain charicteristics of it`s specific performance cannot be copied exactly. The Chi Machine was invented by Dr.Shizuo Inoue of Japan. After 38 years research & studies on the effects of oxygen on the body Dr. Inoue developed the Sun Ancon to assist oxygenation of the body. It is said to be the only one to have been clinically tested by a medical research center. Clinical trial test results confirmed that the Sun Ancon was proven to: Improve lymphatic drainage & circulation. Reduce body fat & body weight. Provide pain relief. It is stated that the speed, height, angle, swing motion, motor & components of the Sun Ancon are unique & that it is believed that there is only one speed & swing motion suitable for the body`s physiology & that imitation devices may not re-align your body to it`s natural state. As I indicated previously, I have no experience of any of the cheaper copies! I have had good results with the Sun Ancon, it was supplied originally with the option of returning it in the first 2 weeks if I didn`t like it & came with a product warrantry of 3 years for free repairs & maintenance. Further, it does seem to be constructed to a high standard. I sympathize with anyone for whom the (-$480, according to newlywed4ever) price is excessive, I wonder if there are any second hand Sun Ancons on e-bay? Alternatively, seems to be pleased with her "no name"..........Perhaps you could check it over thoroughly , to make quite sure that there really is no name on it anywhere, I`m sure people here would be interested to know it, if there was? , I believe that a Chi Machine would probably alleviate you leg problems considerably, though the exact extent would remain to be seen. Assisting oxygenation & increasing lymphatic circulation are powerful strategies for improving wellbeing! There are a great many reports of it helping a very wide range of conditions. Also, remember that with the Sun Ancon, there is a 2 week option of a refund if disappointed. (-I imagine that this applies in the US also?) I also used to have the occasional dream of "normality", but they seem to have faded! May we all Smile Be Happy! (-it feels good, and gives our bodies a much easier time: They`ve got enough to deal with already, without us literally poisoning their chemistry further by indulging in negative mind states!)
